While watching ESPN's Madden Nation last night, i saw Chad Johnson sporting the red Champs LEague jersey with the gold liverbird crest in the center of the chest.

Does anyone know if he's a fan, or just needed a shirt to match his pimp shoes?

i read an interview he did once and claimed to be fan of the EPL. But for some reason, I want to say he was a th14 fan so i don't know why he was wearing liverpool gear.

    .

That explains it all. Perhaps he wears Reebok and it was cross product placement. Or maybe he played football as a kid and still follows it. But this is definitely NOT worth a thread.

Well the thread wasn't OT, it was more who gives a sh1t? I suppose it might be nice to celebrate minor celebrities and other sport stars who may or may not support LFC, but it really is not something that interests me greatly.

Chad Johnson is not a minor celebrity he is one of the best at what he does. And to ask who he is? I would expect them from a Euro but not someone residing in the USofA.

Back to the topic I was watching this show on ESPN a couple weeks ago where these Madden 2006 players (man does ESPN need to show more soccer instaed of pointless shows like this) go to NFL players' houses and challenge them to games of MAdden and Chad was just chillin in his house with a Liverpool jersey on so I would guess he is a fan.

He's a nobody as far as I'm concerned then. I follow the Seahawks but that's the first mention here at anytime. This is Liverpools football board.
Take your tad jackson whatever to the NBA board and stuff him...!!!!

He could be the best wide receiver in football history but, as long as he plays for the Bengals, he'll continue to be a minor celebrity.

LB, I have all the respect in the world for you, and I consider you a close, personal friend. But if you EVER mention that song again near me, there will be serious repercussions.

Now if the King of Sarcasm can't get the sarcastic tone then I've seriously erred. I was trying to question his knee jerk assumption, sarcastically. I apologize for the failure to adequately convey my tone. :)

Some things are too serious for sarcasm. That abomination (I hesitate to call it a song) is one of them. "At least I know I'm free?" Isn't that supposed to be the greatest thing about America, not the least?

apparently he does like soccer: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/8485890

Johnson: I like to play PlayStation, especially FIFA Soccer 2005.

When you play, which country do you normally use?

Johnson: USA most of the time, but I will play with England.

Does the game have Manchester United and Real Madrid on there?

Johnson: Yep, it's got them all. I love it. It's very realistic. You could play as David Beckham if you wanted to. It's nice.

So that begs the question ... are you good at it?

    Johnson: Oh yeah. Very good.

    Are you a soccer buff?

Johnson: Yes. Soccer is my second favorite sport. I'm not into the MLS, but I do follow European soccer. I've always loved soccer.

Especially after what you've lost just in these last 6 years. :)
