According to this link, Cha might be in starting line-up. http://www.germansoccer.net/english/analysis.html#06 Even A Bielefeld's web site notes that Bogdanovic (foot) and Brinkmann are injured so this might be the Bundesliga debut for the Korean Cha.
He was substituted around the 73rd minute. Can someone who can read German post some media feedback on his performance? His name certainly didn't show up much in the German play-by-play ticker.
Cha received a Kicker (Germany's leading soccer publication also on kicker.de) rating of 4. 1. FC Kaiserslautern: Koch (4,5) - Koch (4), Lembi (3,5), Knavs (4) - Hengen (3,5) - Sforza (5), Riedl (4) - Basler (3,5), Lincoln (3) - Klose (3,5), Lokvenc (3,5) - Trainer: Gerets Arminia Bielefeld: Hain (3) - Hansén (3), Reinhardt (2), Bogusz (3) - Dabrowski (3), Albayrak (4) - Kauf (4), Dammeier (3,5) - Cha (4), Vata (3,5) - Diabang (3,5) - Trainer: Möhlmann 1 is best, 5 is worst so that is not too good.
He has confidence. However, he needs to improve his finishing in shooting and crossing. Also, he needs to improve his power more.
The earring... Actually, Cha Doo-Ri's left ear is pierced and he wears an earring there (I saw several close-up pics of this). I think the tape/gauze is to protect the ear because if I'm not mistaken the piercing's fairly new, and new piercings are usually very sensitive. I don't think he was pierced during the World Cup, but I saw a pic of him in casual dress after he signed with Bielefeld where he wears a hoop earring there. I'll post the pic if someone can instruct me on how to do it on this board.
hey don't diss klose, just because he did a one hit wonder performance at the world cup....kind of like the korean nt team ever since the semi finals.
Ha ha. Does Klose know how to score with his feet? All his goals were headers, if I recall correctly.
