Does anyone know when the CFU Club Championship begins? the UNCAF club tournament already began last month.
This year it's pretty open. Portmore United F.C.(JAM) are the defending champs but teams like Robinhood(SUR), W Connection(TRI), Harbour View(JAM) generally do very well in this competition. However teams like Aigle Noir(HAI) as well as Puerto Rico Islanders(PUR) will be equally as dangerous this year.

Even though they play in an American league, so they have American funding and the resources that give them an overall advantage over all the other Caribbean leagues' squads. I still think it's wack
Where did you get that of "amercian funding and resources" and what do you really mean??? Do you think that the Islanders or any USL team received any goverment or USA soccer association funds? As you may know, the USL is a league were the teams fund their operation from sponsor and private money. Not like the MLS that is a single entity and manage the funds for their teams. And the Islanders, been a private soccer club, must pay for the competition and for any travel they may do, as any other team in the CONCACAF. I dont see were that may represent an "overall advantage". And I dont think theres anything "wack" about that.
What you are smoking? Light and share. American founding? Are you crazy? Each team has to finance their own expenses. Anyway we are running by the Puerto Rican federation and we are proud to do so. Next time inform your self before write.
important league scores; Wray & Nephew National Premier League (Jamaica) Waterhouse 2:2 Harbour View, 11/05/2006 Digicel Championnat National de Première Division (Haiti) Baltimore SC and Aigle Noir will face-off later this season
Excuse me for being ignorant but why are those scores important.. They don't have any relevenace on the CFU Tournament that is about to start.. The only bearing those results have is on their own National Leagues and qualification for next years CFU Champions Cup.. For form purposes maybe yes but the draw has already been made for this years Champions Cup..
The PR Islanders are going to have a press conference the 20th, to among other things present the CFUCC team, which we only know some but not all the players.
Yo ando por aqui tambien aunque no voy a un juego de los Islanders desde el 2004 . Pero gracias por todos los adelantos y la info que posteas aqui sobre los Islanders y el futbol en la isla.
your comment isn't really what i would call ignorant at all, those were this seasons' head to head scores of 4 teams that will be participating in the upcoming CFU Club Championship. In Haiti's case, Aigle Noir and Baltimore SC are hardly the best clubs in their league so it helps to see their current form against each other or a tougher league opponent like ASC. Same thing in Jamaica, Portmore United i believe have the best record and in Trinidad & Tobago, it's Joe Public that are running things.
Point taken Flash... I see now what you were pointing out. That both teams appear to be of equal strength and not one being far better than the other..
Actually, Waterhouse ended the first half of the season in 1st, Harbour View were 2nd and Portmore 3rd. Jamaica Premier League Standings
