Jeffrey, can we pick your brain about Cesc Fabregas? Was this really a colossal blunder or is it just the English media trying to pretend they pulled one over on us?

Woo, that is one that hurts. Cesc just turned 16 and was voted best player at the world under 17s. Tied as well for leading scorer, just too bad he couldn't do it for Spain vs. Brazil. Good match that, you could not say Brazil was superior but Spain finishing was a bit off on the day. A fine match.

So yes, a blunder, but look. The juvenile team of Barça (under 17) was not even the best in Catalunya last year, Espanyol blew them out, they did not even get as far as the national championship playoff. So folks were not really paying attention to them (the other top player is a young Argentine, think his name is Mella or something). And of course the change at the top made things even more careless. Even though Barça claims that there is no way his dad is really going to London for a legit job offer, may complain to FIFA, I am sure he is a Gunner.

Spain under 17 team captain, a centre back, is also a Barça player, but damn, forget his name right off. He has said that he is not moving from Barça though.

Oh, and just a note: Barça played terribly on Saturday, really stunk. We were lucky. Looks like the prob was midfield, Xavi lacks bite and we maybe need some- so that is another gap that has been exposed, though with Cocu back in midfield things could get sorted out. If they play like that "after hours" tomorrow at Camp Nou (game at 5 past midnight) they'll hear the fans displeasure though.
