Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] I am about 95% done with it and I think it looks damn good. I am not a website designer or anything, so don't expect any flash or anything super fancy (plus, I did it in about an hour). But, I kept it basic and looking nice. I don't want to clutter it with too much. I'll put it up online within an hour so everyone can see it and let me know what they think.
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] 1. I spend an hour or two on this and I'm not web designer. Don't expect anything super duper fancy 2. The latin on the sides are just fillers... they will be filled in with something later which will most assuredly convince thousands and thousands of supports to organize and demand an owner and a team.... or, more likely, simply bring locals together and start some sort of grass roots organization. 3. Tell me what you like, don't like, I can change it. 4. I plan on putting a link to the petition and a listing of reasons (empirical and objective reasons) why a team should be placed in Tampa. 5. This is a temporary website... don't go posting this on fliers or anything. It's just so you can get a peak at it and give me some criticism. 6. http://www.geocities.com/mafioso697
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] Haven't found any in my searches. I usually come up with the Mutiny shield which is on the site. Let me know if you come across any.
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] Keep up the good work, I sent the petition to some of my friends and got a few more sig's...
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] Once a rich miami businessman present his intention in buying a team for Miami, then you will be considered a candidate. In addition, a realistic SSS plan should be part of the package. Once these two items are presented to the league, then Miami should have a very solid good chance.

Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] Never was able to find any Mutiny pictures that way... however, I did Google image notable players and "tampa" and found lots of pictures... most, however, were quite small. I'll see what I can do with them.
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] Cool website...i will post future events on this thread...Also it would be cool to post pictures from the U.S. vs Equador game in Tampa, and the attendance figure of over 30,000
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] I live in the Orlando and agree with "tsoccer"... that Orlando is prime for an MLS soccer expansion team. Disney has the Wide World of Sports Stadium that could be used for soccer matches and now they are renovating the Citrus Bowl with the new bill that the county has just passed. They are pumping 1.1 billion for 3 venues. The money will go to a brand new arena, a new performing arts center and the renovation of the Citrus bowl. But I believe Disney has the capital to fund a new MLS team in Orlando. I'll start sending e-mail to them to put a bug in their ear I'm pretty sure it's already beign talked about.
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] i would accept having an orlando team over a tampa team. as long as they weren't owned by chelsea. of course i would prefer a tampa team
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] At this point I don't care if the team is in Tampa or Orlando I just would like to see a team in Central Floriday but I agree with you... I do not want to see a team here owned by Chelsea.
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] Noted WhiteStar... I was at the game. It was great and that's a great point to be made! Disney isn't going to bring a soccer team to Orlando. Disney has gotten out of the sports ownership market and now they just host events. Even if they want to host the team, they would have to build a stadium for them... since Wide World of Sports currently does not have a soccer stadium.
Re: Florida Superthread [Part 2] I do recall seeing a number of crowd/Sam's Army shots from that game. Can't really find them now... anyone know?
