I received this email from the Rev's and it has me a bit confused.

"We realize there are some members of the Center Circle that did not submit their parking request before the deadline of April 10th. We would like to extend this offer until this Friday, April 25 at 5 p.m. to ensure that our Center Circle members have the opportunity to buy this pass.

The Center Circle Parking passes are the only way to gain access into the Center Circle parking area on game day. This parking area has been carefully selected in order to ensure a fluid entrance and exit for our Center Circle members."

Does this mean that we cannot use our Center Circle id's to enter this parking area? Last year we paid our money and showed our id's and were directed to the parking area. My take on this email is now they are making us buy these "parking passes" in order to gain access to the Center Circle lots. I did not attend the opening game due to a conflict, so I don't know what happen that day. Can anyone fill me in on their experience?

I didn't have a problem. I just showed the attendent my cc pass and was directed to the cc parking lot.

    Reply from thr Rev's

I sent an email to the Rev's and here is their reply:

    Joe,
The parking passes are being offered at a discounted rate. While general
parkers pay $15 to park, the Center Circle pass breaks down to be $12 per
game. The credentials that you received with your season tickets do not
grant you access to the Center Circle lot, they let you gain access to the
Center Circle stadium gates that allow you to enter the game before the
    general public.

When we sent out the tickets, there was information included explaining the
Center Circle parking for this year along with instructions concerning how
to order. We had some feedback that not everyone who wanted the pass had
ordered in time, so we decided to extend the deadline until this Friday.

If you would like to purchase the pass, this can be done through the Center
Circle portion of our website. I hope that this information is helpful to
you, and if you have any other questions, please respond to this email
    address. Thank you.

So what they are saying is even though I am a season ticket holder (10 tickets in fact), I do not get access to the Center Circle lot unless I buy these passes. Thank god they will at least allow me to enter the stadium!

    Center Circle Lot?

Where is the Center Circle Lot? I did not see a sign at the game like last year.

Follow the signs for "reserved parking" to get to the Center Circle Lot.

Although I order my passes on time, I didn't get them until Monday. Fortunately, someone named Katie in the Revs office was very helpful, and I was able to get in without paying twice.

Her response to my original call suggests that I wasn't the only person who had this problem. That maybe why people without passes were allowed into the CC lot.

On the other hand, I would only have been farther from the main entrance if I'd parked down by Spooky World. I much preferred the location of the CC lot last year.

    What they said

i didn't buy a parking pass but do have 5 season tix and was (quite) angry that I couldn't use the CC lot last week (and this season unless I bought the parking deal). I spoke with Mike D at the game, and then had a follow up call with Kate. Once again, Mike went the extra mile to help a fan in need, but, he has limits to what he can do ...

Paraphrasing my discussion with Kate ...

It was a logistical nightmare last year; we didn't know how many center circle pass holders would show up for a given game, and couldn't get the appropriate number of parking attendants for the CC lot. This way, by preselling passes, they know how many cars to plan for.

I really couldn't agree more with the "nightmare" description of parking last year.

Seems like a reasonable (but, let's be real, there's gotta be other solutions to this) answer to me. So now I've bought parking for games I don't attend and now buy both tickets and parking for people I give the tix to when I don't go ... grrrr ...

Seems like the organization found another way to extract some more money from the most loyal fans (and funders) of the club. And still no exchange feature for unused tix ... good thing I like this game, most other loyal major customers would eventually tire of such treatment ...

in this same vein.....did anyone else get "forced" into the c.c. line at the gate?

my wife and i went thru the normal gates b/c there was no wait and the c.c. gates were 10-15 deep at the time. however, 2 friends that went with us were "forced" to go in those lines b/c a gate attendant saw the c.c. passes i gave them. they said the "organization keeps track of people going thru there".

what the heck does that mean? even if they were...there's no way they're going to open up any more c.c. gates than they have now.

    Re: What they said

This is not clear thinking in my mind.

They had an old number (the number of season ticket holders) and now they have new number (the number of season ticket holders with a parking pass).

Perhaps they think this new number is more informative? It does set an upper limit on lot size. Maybe that is the goal.

OR perhaps this is more about having you pay for parking when you don't come?

You could join the Riders and get the best parking and tailgate spot in the place. You don't even have to have season tickets!

Closest you can get to the main gates. Plus it's roped off (safe for the youngin's!)

Is that map accurate? I always park in the Mustang lot which is directly in front of the main gate....
