Great first half. Aldrete with a shot from outside the area beats the goalie at the 19th min. . 1-0 HT vs Necaxa.

First win. 1-0 FT. Not a great 2nd half. Several players showed the lack of fitness due to the holidays break. Notwithstanding , there were several chances to score the second goal that went begging. Rojas is fast in getting the counterattack going, but as soon as he gets closer to the opposing box, slows the game too much looking around for the perfect pass that never materializes. Gotta get rid of the ball quicker.

What a shitty call, that hardly was a yellow, but red ? Gabriel Peñalba sent off in the 38th min.

FT: Pumas 1-0 CAzul . Benítez with several goal chances that even a youth player wouldn't have any problem finishing into net.

Does anybody know why Rocco hadn't started in the league? Was he injured?

A pk early in first half put Monterrey ahead, a second goal before the break brought the score 0-2 at HT.
Low level intensity and poor passing by the Maquina mirrored the scored. That changed in the second half , better attitude, helped with a pk in favor, 11 vs 10 for the lat 25 minutes, and finally the late equalizer .

    2-2 FT

I'm sure the loss in the Mx cup had something to do with it

Martin Rodriguez scored one, but a mistake at the end cost the loss of points.

Guerrón , a winter break transfer from Tigres, has not been heard of or seen , leaving the Cruz Azul officials wondering if they should report him missing to the police.
