...New coach and new players too. ....but meanwhile la directiva crumbles from within http://espndeportes.espn.go.com/news/story?id=1427463&s=mex&type=story They don't want 'billy' Alvarez to represent C.A. @ FEMEXFUT
Corinthians is our second Libertadores opponent. http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/s...-de-grupo-para-cruz-azul-en-libertadores-2012
LOL, Esqueda actually looked good in the few games I saw him with Pachuca. In other news, let's all take a moment to celebrate...... http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m.../09/cesar-villaluz-nuevo-jugador-del-san-luis Don't let the door hit ya in the ass...
Alejandro Castro joins Estudiantes Tecos http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m...se-muestra-feliz-por-nuevo-reto-en-su-carrera
Even worse than Esqueda [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bw664tz8Dho"]Penal que fallo el idiota de omar bravo contra portugal - YouTube[/ame]
Disappointment after disappointment... and to think I thought CA was going to take Libertadores seriously and we sign Bravo? Also, they're thinking about signing Esqueda? What a joke...
Out - Hugo Patricio Droguett, César Villaluz, Javier Caso Ravelo, Allam Bello, Manuel Mariaca y Alejandro Castro. In (from fuerzas basicas) - Gibrán Lajud, Iñaki Domínguez, Luis Fernando Carrasco y Francisco Flores. From the out list - Bello should have been given more of a chance. He showed some good things attacking from the left flank. I would have dumped Vela instead. Droguett was never the same after the injury. Villaluz......'nuff said. Castro was one of those average players. No clue as to the other two guys. As to the Bravo signing, I have no problem bringing him on but I'm really hoping he's not viewed as a replacement for Villa. He would be good as a third attacker coming in the second half. I do not see him as a starter.
So Villa is out? I've heard rumors. I would have dumped Vela , Pereira and Perea. Why waste a foreigner spot on players that don't produce? I suspect there will be more disappointment and an empty estadio azul.
So... Droguett es el unico extranjero dado de baja? La porqueria de Perea solo esta tomando espacio de extranjero y es malisimo!!
Just rumors at this point but I'm hoping they're not shopping him around while thinking of Bravo as the replacement. If they do that, I'll be very very disappointed. Again, I don't mind Bravo so much as I would mind them dumping Villa.
Torrado out from 6 to 8 weeks, so it's pretty much a given he won't start the season. Villa still hopeful to get his contract renewed. http://www.cruz-azul.com.mx/index.p...on-de-contrato&catid=73:prenprimdiv&Itemid=28
On the other hand, here's an interview where things sound a bit for the worse as far as Villa is concerned regarding getting renewed - http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m...azul-no-tienen-intenciones-de-renovarme-villa
Supuestamente pleititos Reina is in talks with Cruz Azul. I don't know about this guy. Could go either way.
Interesting read from Mediotiempo.com http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/m...ul-no-ha-tenido-buen-ojo-para-reforzar-ataque I'd forgotten how long the list is of failed Mexican forwards at Cruz Azul. Eustacio Rizo, Pedro Pineda, Everaldo Begines..... Wow. And I don't see things getting any better with Quintano. Speaking of Mr. Quintano, there's this little jewel. Apparently there was an 8 million peso expenditure that the cooperativa wants Mr. Quintano to explain in the next 3 days or he will face the consequences. http://www.mediotiempo.com/futbol/mexico/noticias/2011/12/15/piden-a-alberto-quintano-rendir-cuentas
I was asking myself the same question yesterday as I read that on mediotiempo. Who is this Marranao cat? Google didn't help much.
