Is there any connection between Sporting's colours and Celtic's. Heard the choice had something to do with Celtic's Euro Cup win in Lisbon in '67?

Sporting use the colors like Celtic for over 60 years, nothing to do with Celtic, it just happens. Sp.Braga use the colors of Arsenal nothing to do with Arsenal.

Sporting's uniform is alot nicer actually. It has a touch of black to make it stand out.

The Sporting colors and stripes on the jersey were modeled after British rugby uniforms. The English brought the game to Portugal and thus we have Futebol. Sporting is the oldest organized club in Portugal. (1906) Benfica is next which was formed from 2 smaller clubs.

    Benfica Founded in 1904
    Sporting Founded in 1906

Benfica is listed as being founded in 1904 but that is not totaly correct. Benfica as it exist now was formed from 2 smaller clubs one existing in 1904.
