Winning at Celta without Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo, Eduardo Camavinga, Alvaro Carreras and many more. The same fixture the club lost 2-0 at home with the aforementioned players available. 👏 pic.twitter.com/71XhIlx3wY— Madrid Zone (@theMadridZone) March 7, 2026
I dont think we were lucky. We rarely win big against Celta away anyways and winning with mostly the B team should be commended. Let's hope we "luck" ourselves to a victory on Wednesday.
You might be right, also seems uncharacteristic of Arbeloa to say something derogatory anyway. Thanks for double checking it!
🚨 Álvaro Arbeloa sparked controversy with a statement where he praised "the players who wanted to come and support the team during the difficult time." Club sources clarified that this statement was a "negative hint" toward some absent players, while on the other hand, it was… pic.twitter.com/dUesaaBJ0d— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) March 7, 2026
The last 15-20 minutes of the game was good. The rest before it was the same old shite we’ve seen for two years now. This is one of the problems, no consistency and just not focused or arsed enough to do a job for full 90. That needs to change vs City. They need to be locked in and more to come away with anything positive. It’s down to the players - Arbeloa is a none factor, he’s got no ideas. See how it plays out. Oh and Pitarch is levels above Guler. If I am picking one for City then it’s Pitarch
Some of the Castilla players looked better albeit in limited minutes so I will not read too much into it. It was not a great game overall but it is one of those games where you got 10 players missing so you grab the 3 points and run. Pitarch was not exactly playing his typical position. I thought he was going to play deeper. Kid is still 18 but you can see the potential. Palacios has always been interesting to me. I would like to see him get some more minutes. He has been phenomenal for Castilla after missing to much time due to the freak injury a couple years back. And Miguel Angel is a midget but credit on that tackle that lead to the winning goal.
Is he playing through injury to stat pad and break individual records, or is he lazily sitting on the bench because he is scared of the mighty Celta Vigo? Your inane delusions need to pick a lane and stick with it. Also, it was clearly a poor translation, as mentioned earlier.
Different profile of players though. Pitarch should have taken over Ceballos' minutes long ago, this dummy should have been frozen out so he accepts the next offer that comes his way and gets the F out.
🚨 Joan Laporta on Real Madrid's last-minute goal last night:"A Celta player had the ball and they fouled him. They end up scoring a goal in the last minute, it always happens the same way. When they are in trouble they always get referee help." pic.twitter.com/5Zj9ZaDxKr— Madrid Universal (@MadridUniversal) March 7, 2026 Oh how I wish we win the league
A yes, "club sources". A classic of Spanish sports journalism. Jose Luis Sanchez isn't the worst, but he's also on record saying things like Barca is supposed to be in Segunda now due to their scandals and the report that no player had spoken up after the Copa elimination and Arbeloa had to console them and tell them they were working hard. He's in the Chiringuito orbit and often frames things in ways that will be picked up and misinterpreted for clicks even if he doesn't technically misrepresent them. It
