People in Galicia are having a hard time economically since the conversion to the Euro (where everything literally doubled in price overnight).

Celta will be playing in the King's Cup today down in Granada versus Baza. Baza is in 2nd B (3rd division) Group IV and are presently situated in the relegation zone. It will be a tough game mainly because it is only one game, not home-and-away.

Two articles on the official web site, one talking about the latest win which puts them in the "Champions League Zone", the other the coach discusses how they tool advantage of their opportunities.

Galicia is enjoying winning football between Depor and Celta Vigo. I bet they are still in shock.

    Celta de Vela

Celta's Official Website has a downloadable version of "El Periodico de Celta" in which you can read about Carlos Vela's transfer.

Nothing new to Mexicans considering the bulk of page 2, which was dedicated to Vela, mind you, was already printed in our national media a week or two ago.

    Still interesting, nonetheless.

Good win for Celta against those pesky Zaragozans. Any more transfers for Celta?

    SWEEEEEEEEEEET!
I am setting my DVR. I know I'm nuts, but I think I'm Galician and want both clubs competing in European footie. Both clubs are quite even this season, I think Celta Vigo is having a slightly better year.

    Re: Celta de Vigo

Celta is in better position to get to play UEFA CUP next season and it must go on fighting if Real Madrid or Osasuna fail to get Champions League (although this is very difficult, everything is posssible in soccer). Anyway, the other face of the match is that Celta needs a good result against Deportivo. Last results in derby...

    Re: Celta de Vigo

    Anything can happen.

It should be an intense game as both have European possibilities!

Celta also has revenge on their minds having embarrashingly lost the derby at home...

    Sweet indeed!

Both clubs are very even and with both having European possibilities it should be a very intense game.

    You think you're Galician. :):D

    Re: Celta de Vigo

Well I am going to be coaching my son's soccer team on saturday at 2pm and won't be able to watch it live. I'm part galician and even though my grandfather is from La Coruna it would be nice to see Celta Vigo in the Champions league.
