We wll we know the score 2-0 this match report pretty much sums up our run in la liga this year... WE CANNOT FINISH WHEN GIVEN THE CHANCE Kluivert....for christ's sake..net one Match Report from FCB.com Barca's run of poor results continued at Celta tonight, when they went down 2-0 to second half goals from Jesuli and Sivinho, after dominating in the first 45 minutes. Controlling possession As early as the 2nd minute, Barca came close, when Javier Saviola, back in the starting line up for tonight's game, was brought down by José Ignacio after bursting through the middle of the Celta defence. The yellow shown by the ref seemed to be at the very least generous to the Celta defender. Overmars broke through on the left to set up Kluivert on 11 minutes, but the Dutch striker failed to make the most of his chance. Barca found themselves after the first quarter of an hour dominating the game completely, but still unable to take the lead. Bonano in the limelight On 23 minutes, Roberto Bonano made an awful clearance and nearly set up Jesuli to put Celta ahead, but the Galician midfielder hit the post and Barca could breathe again. Three minutes later Saviola nearly got on the end of a Reiziger cross and then on26 minutes Bonano changed from villain to hero with a reflex save from José Ignacio. On 31 minutes, Saviola gave away a penalty with a poorly timed tackle on Edu, but Gustavo Lopez was unable to beat Bonano, who dived well to his left and stopped his fellow Argentinean's poorly hit shot. On 36 minutes, Xavi saw a long range shot beat Cavallero, but bounce back off the post and then Overmars and, just before halftime, Saviola came close to putting Barca ahead. Celta score and dominate Celta came out the more lively for the second half and Edu made Bonano work in the first minute. A minute later Luccin set up Jesuli, who gave the keeper no chance and Celta were one up. On 59, Mendieta appeared to be brought down in the box, though the referee waved play on as Kluivert found himself with an open goal gaping. The Dutch striker, though, was unable to score and Celta hit back with a Mostovoi free kick on 65 that Catanha nearly connected with. Celta's second came after a nice piece of work between Edu and Silvinho on the left, when the Brazilian full back's swerving centre cum cross beat Bonano a the near post. Jesuli nearly got a third on 83 minutes, but Bonano pulled off another good save to stop him. No luck for Barca As if to confirm the footballing Gods were not with Barca tonight, in the final minutes Overmars saw a shot hit the post and Rochemback failed to put away an easy chance win front of an open goal. It just wasn't Barca's night and the team now have to dig deep to get out of a position that finds them just three points off the relegation zone.
