Prior to the WC, Thierry Henry - who's pretty much into NBA himself - was invited in a French TV talk show ; there was a clip of Steve Nash juggling with a soccer ball and keeping it still on his foot. He said he answered a friendly challenge issued by Henry when they met.

I mentioned it somwhere else, but Nash lives in the offseason in Tribecca NYC and plays for a local pub team in our league.

A decent, but not exceptional from what I hear. Great endurance, but average technically, tactifully.,

I don't know if they're fans but i found this little snippet.

Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel were spotted out in Manchester, England, on Saturday while on a dinner date at high street restaurant chain Nandos. They were joined by super-producer Timbaland and Manchester United soccer star Alan Smith

Saw something about Kieren Richardson dating Kelly Rowland of Destiny's Child. What got me was that they referred to him as Manchester United Star. :D I still laugh just thinking about that reference.

I'm pretty sure Kelly Rowland is married to Football player Roy Williams. He is also a soccer fan.

It has nothing to do with validation. But being an American fan of soccer, you're part of a niche, and it's interesting to see what other people are part of that niche.

Soccer needs as much publicity in our country as possible. Celebrities bring publicity to the sport. Sorry, I don't have some stupid internet graphic to tell you what you are if you can't figure that out.

sorry, soccer dad. i didn't mean to hurt your feelings. i don't know how much of a niche it is...on my campus, soccer jerseys are far and away the most common sports attire seen, and intramural soccer is the most common and competitive sport. i'm not some spectator; i've played since i was three, with international quality players, so i dont need any validation from you. so please if you need celebrity fan to affirm your "niche" have a blast.

    cheers
