anyone getting together tonight for drinks?!?!? R&T?? Park Street Tavern??? dont know if this has been covered in another thread but it sounds fun to me!
Keep in mind there is the US Gold Cup match later tonight. Papa Simons will once again probably be the only place that has it.
I'm planning on hitting up some campus area bars with some Crew loyalists; sounds like we may want to stop by the Thistle as well, though.
I might be able to sneak out a few minutes early today if anyone'll be at the R&T or a similary-located venue (for someone heading btwn OSU and Clintonville). I mean, how often do we have this opportunity?
If I go, it'll only be for a quick pint (or two) after work. By "after work" I mean, oh, 4:00pm if I push it. Anyone else on a similar schedule?
Unfortunately, I can't arrive until sometime after 7:00. Also, the guys waiting for a result from the Gold Cup will likely arrive even later.
I'd say Thistle anytime until 6:45, come when you can and stay as long as you can, then at that time or a bit after, head off to Papa's?? DJ -- I don't believe the Thistle gets the game, so it's a pub crawl tonight.
Yeah, I meant that I figured some of the crew might want to stop by after the Gold Cup match, but that would be a pretty late arrival, if folks have to get up for work.
Well, I'm off for a quick one at the R&T. No evening out for me, I'm afraid (the Crew would actually have to win something for me to be able to swing that).
I'm going to watch the gold cup match at Papa Simons. I didn't know they had a no shorts policy. They didn't say anything about mine on Saturday. I'm giving blood after work so it's a cheap drunk tonight!
Ha, beer humor. Gotta love it. Anyway, I wish. They did add Shiner Bock to the tap list which, I suppose, one could argue is a very distant, and not terribly well-off, cousin to the glorious Celebrator Doppelbock.
anyone have any good celebrations to report on? A group of us went to Panini's and had a great time. Some wore their Crew gear, some cheered/sang(got some very odd looks), and just generally had a great time.
Had a couple beers at the Fox n' Hound with some buddies... nothing too exciting, but I did pump up my buddy about going to see his first pro-soccer game this Saturday... so it was a positive.
We went to Tlaquepaque, and Bill, they were open and it was Happy Hour 'till 8; maragaritas half off. Good times.. Save for the nasty glares by some Mexicans due to my US scarf, and the occassional come on by others.. Too bad the match was more boring than watching grass grow. I almost felt embarrassed that a lot of people in the restaurant saw how intense I was about these matters. Almost.
