Former Denver Nuggets small forward, Cedric Ceballos, is signing with Israeli basketball club, Hapoel Tel-Aviv. According to his agent, Yossi Gal-Paz, he just has to sign the papers and he will be arriving in Israel on the 26th of December. Last year Ceballos played with the Harlem Globetrotters. Can someone please provide some information about him? Is he any good?
He also played in the ABA last season. I believe he was better when he was younger. Apparently it's been a while since he played well at a high level, so caveat emptor.
He's a small forward--a shooter and slasher. He never looked like he'd be that great (not fast or with smooth moves), but got the job done. He was at his best back in the mid-90's with the Suns and Lakers. He was Lakers best player for 2 years before being sent back to the Suns. IIRC, he had injury problems in the late 90's, but was decent with the Mav's when he was fully recovered. Then he fell off the radar the past couple years. Age-wise, he's got to be in his mid-30's based on how long he's been playing.
He made the all-star team back in '95, I think, but had to withdraw because of an injury. Also won a dunk contest in '92, I think.
