Bringing the "Major" to Major League Soccer!

    or

Putting the "Major" in Major League Soccer!

or maybe we should put something in Spanish...that should get a lot a folks riled up!

    ¡Nace un Campeón!

I was thinking about Vergaras quote, something along the lines of "the peace and quite ends here" and hopefully it will. i attended the 2004 MLS Cup and on my way to the stadium it didnt feel like i was attending a championship game. Walking into the parking lot it felt like i was at a park with families having a pick nic or kicking a ball around..

This is way diffrent than when i go to the L.A Coliseum for a Mexico "friendly" and you see all the pople walking to the stadium decked out in their teams colors with flags and random chants and heckling toing on and as you get closer to the stadium you can hear the loud buzzing sound of the horns and overall noise of the fans increases. Even stading in line to get into the stadium is an experience unto itself. I didnt get any of this in the MLS Cup match..

With Chivas USA i want to go to teh HDC and have that same atmosphere and it will not be the punk ass Wood Shed it will be "Stadio de Chivas" Jalisco Jr or call it what you will but even a Galacto fan will recognize that there is a overall better soccer atmosphere..

I had to listen to the girl behind me ask her Mom why the guy with the gloves on was the only guy who could touch the ball with his hands and then later on I had to listen to the Mom make dinner plans for later on that evening. BTW they left about 15 min. prior to the end to beat the traffic.

All that aside I had a good time! :)

    On a positive note:

I did meet Edward James Olmos, Antonio Cue, got a free Club Deportivo Chivas USA cap, and saw Alexi Lalas in the car next to me while waiting at the red light before getting on the freeway.

VS, were you wearing your Chivas jersey?

Did you see the sign a Riot Squader had which read:

    A Anybody
    B But
    C Chivas

Its not even 2005 and they are scared already! :D

    ja ja ja

I like VS's idea of the Vergara quote. "The peace and quiet ends here."

    Provocative.

    It's aggressive and no-nonsense.

That's an especially effective tag line when you spell "quite" correctly. Dumbass.

Are the Galaxy scared of Chivas USA? Not when your first new player is a Galaxy reject!!

Rent is due on the first! Don't forget or its to the streets with ya!

Mods, may I suggest a link to the Mexico forum under the CD Chivas USA name? That'll facilitate discussions of transfers between the clubs since it sounds like 9 slots on the team will be possibly fed through Vergara's other clubs.

for that just press letter A
under the forum Jump option and scroll 3 or 4 down, is easy and fast!

we had a chivas guadalajara own forum, but the locals, decided to join that with the rest of FMF comments (is pretty diluted now), but there is couple of chivas offical threads with lots of good info on players and club matters.

I bump this topic for the guy looking for a tag on the new forum

I will like the name vergara on it! ;)

"Vergara's gift to the mexican futbol savvy"

Not entirely original but judging by the reception Chivas has gotten from the MLS fan community...

"No one likes us, we don't care!"
