[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8zOqams9Bv4"]YouTube - US Soccer CC Series #2 special edition, Mexico vs US (EE.)UU: 2 - 0[/ame] I tried to do it something like "300." Watch it in high quality while you can, it might get deleted at some point because of copright crap.
yeaaah, if you're gonna select "Other," please let me know what that other is. I'm sure as hell not doing a video with a country song.
Why not? there are a lot of great country songs....a lot more patriotic songs from country than from any other genre...and a lot of rowdy/rockin' country songs (some even that are rowdy/rockin' AND patriotic at the same time)
Well, most of my videos have a fast pace to them, and now many country songs have that "highlight reel" feel to them. Plus, I severely dislike country music and would not want to listen to it during the process of making the video. Now, something like "God Bless the USA," I might consider using at some point, but only for a part of a video, not for the whole thing.
(fyp) I can't disagree too much with that (except to question your taste re "severely dislik(ing) country music" )...although, you should add the disclaimer that "not many country songs have that 'highlight reel' feel to them" specifically in regards to soccer. There's a Waylon Jennings song ("the Eagle") that is perfect for a highlight reel of air force jets and bombers dropping bombs and destroying things. (too bad we don't have many/enough "Feilhaber vs Mexico 2007" type goals to play in conjunction with that song) there's a Johnny Cash "Remember the Alamo" song that would probably work with some US vs Mexico highlights if the person was creative enough... but yeah, most of the songs that I could think of are perfect for patriotic US military highlights (or in many cases, "Baseball, Mom, & Apple Pie" type American life) but not as perfect for pro soccer highlights.
True. I do have to disagree with the "The Eagle" and "Remember the Alamo;" I have plenty of other clips along with Feilhaber's goal that could go for that feel, but I don't see that song as making it really work. Of course, that just might be my bias hindering my judgement . . . Actually, if someone found a country song that could legitimately work, I would probably try it. I mean, I am making these videos for all US Soccer fans, that's why I've used so many different music styles so far. And I'm sure some US Soccer fans like country music also.
