Interesting, I've never tried that. I guess that partially refutes my critique (they still don't show ALL SPL matches). It still sucks that they don't archive those matches like they do for ones that are shown on Paramount +. I guess I'll have to watch the Hearts v Celtics match on Saturday live. That's going to be a big one!
Further enshittification at P+ - watching some Europa League matches from yesterday and they're throwing in ad breaks on the replays during game action, not just before the game and at the half.
One more example: watching PSG-Newcastle today. First half ends, quick switch to the Golazo channel--or so I was hoping. 180 seconds of ads before Golazo launches. I expect a lot more of that crap when the knock-out stages start--they're trying harder and harder to push people towards the no ad plan.
Hopefully SportsLine comes out with a new promotion. The only thing they have right now is promo code "basket" for 60 days which is better than nothing. If your Paramount+ ends soon, you may want to consider signing up at SportsLine.com with your Paramount+ account info. You can always try to email them and see if they have any promotions they're not mentioning.
I honestly still like the value the Paramount Plus ad plan offers, especially with promo rates. Getting all of Champions League, Europa League and Conference League for $29.99/yr (which is the deal I got last time I renewed) is really a good deal. Even better if you follow Serie A (I don't). That said... (1) I think the promo rates will soon be a thing of the past. Or regular rates will just keep on climbing and promo rates will be what the old regular rates were. I wouldn't be surprised if $59.99 or $69.99 was the best I could find next time. (2) Ads will be more and more intrusive--and there will be more and more of them. Hopefully, they won't go as far as having in-game ads during live matches, but who knows? That and the fact that match highlights are now clearly (and horribly) edited by AI (look at the Lille-Freiburg or the Lyon-PAOK highlights from yesterday and you'll know what I mean), and we have a product that's a lot less attractive than it was. With Peacock also increasing their prices, the golden days of cheap and quality access to European Cups and Premier League might be behind us.
I get Paramount+ for free with Walmart+. That makes it easier to deal with the Peacock price increases even thought I'm still on the $19.99/yr deal until this summer.
I wonder if there's a third or fourth option: Add-ons for different things. For Peacock, I wish for Big Ten, Reelz and commercial-free NBC shows. I don't need live NBC on there, but I guess it's nice. (Something about a VPN or that I can get a bonus affiliate when traveling.) I don't care if the shows are delayed a day. I don't care about the NBA or much anything else. Yeah, it's nice to have the Boris Karloff version of The Grinch, but that comes on TV every year anyway. For Paramount+, I need CBS shows and UEFA CL. I definitely lucked into the SportsLine deal now at $40 for 14 months which happens to include the premium version of P+. The way it works, of course, is that every subscriber helps off-set the cost for everyone else. What they need to friggin do is get a system where it works internationally. "Ok, so you have an American credit card and address on your file? You're in Mexico? You're good to go for 30 days."
Being an Inter fan it’s great I get everyone of their games Serie A,Coppa Italia and CL so for me paramount plus is great value.
