Yeah. My subscription ran out a few days ago. I'm probably going to sign up in time for the UEFA CL. The longer I wait, the longer it goes before it expires.
Thanks to @drt2k3 for the info! As I saw elsewhere, if you immediately cancel via the SportsLine website, they hook you up with two months free.
I don't know if this is a new thing, but I'm watching the side-by-side coverage on Paramount+ now. The game with audio is on a slightly larger screen than the game without.
I think it is new, I don't remember it from previous years. It was a pleasant surprise yesterday and I'm watching it again today. It's a really nice way to present 2 games without the boxes being too small like they can be with 4 games.
I find context matters alot when comparing how tolerable commentators are. Like when I watched the CONMEBOL Olympic qualifiers recently on FOX I just expected the commentary to be poor and rolled with it. I was already getting a bit tired of Hudson's whole act when he was doing La Liga matches on a weekly basis, but he comes across as way more amateurish when doing big European CL matches. Maybe it just me, but the high quality and importance of the game somehow highlights bad commentary more.
the gentlemen who do the Argentine matches are great . . . or at least I think they're great. I don't know much about the clubs, other than the biggies, and no even less about a lot of the players, so they do a great job of provided me with context and history when I watch.
Am I imagining that P+ streaming a live event used to have the ability to pause/rewind/fastforward? I'm finding it more an more annoying that certain apps don't allow these controls for a live event: P+, NBCSports, ?? Edit: Actually the apps on Roku, e.g. P+, do generally allow pause/fwd/ffwd. But my iPad apps often don't. What's with that??
What technical reason would there be for not providing that functionality for all live game streams? Also, I’m curious what platform you usually run the P+ app on?
Enjoying the European knockout rounds more this year since the announcers aren't telling us every five minutes that the away goals tiebreaker is no longer in effect.
I have a Samsung 4K TV using the built-in app, a 4k Chromcast with GoogleTV on another TV and my phone.
Anyone experiencing problems with the Real Sociedad-PSG replay on Paramount +? I get an error message about a minute after starting the game. Same thing after a re-start. Even fast forwarding a bit, same problem: the feed starts and stops with an error message within a minute. Bayern-Lazio playing fine.
Looks like Paramount Plus is no longer carrying every Primera game from Argentina, but seem to be carrying 4-5 games a round involving the"big" teams
Not crazy about losing some games in English but figure I'm okay on the Spanish side (have TyC Sports via DirecTV Stream)
@Kryptonite did the discounted rate give you Paramount + too or does that not kick in until you pay full price?
TBH, IDK. I did most of the steps with a second account (didn't pay, of course), but it seems like it gives the full Paramount+. And yeah, the best thing to do is sign up with a Paramount+ account which has expired. Someone else seemed to do it with a current Paramount+ account and it didn't seem to work.
This was posted in the Apple/MLS TV thread for some reason (that thread is the least focused of any I've seen!) but I thought it better here (yikes!) ... Happy to report that I was just able to get 50% discount off of my current/legacy Limited Commercials annual plan. So even though they increased the annual rate to $70, this discount reduces it to $35. That's less than I paid last year ($54), and the cheapest since the first year they offered P+ (2021) when I paid $30 (also 50% off) I just had to speak to the cancellation team, and be politely persistent about trying to get me a better discount than 10% which is what I already had. Frankly I only hoped for 20% and was a little shocked when he came back with 50%.
