Was the table sympathetic to your plight?

Hey! Those were really small goals. ANYBODY could have missed that shot... on an empty net...

Remind me again why I don't play forward?

Okay, it's like a freakin soap opera around here. Tyler is now back in for the trip, so that puts me back at 6 people in my group and I think 18 for the kickaround.

For one of you Dallas guys, Since this new addition was late, do you think it will be a problem for him to get a ticket at the gate for our section (131)?

Not going to be a problem...he can probably buy a ticket for ANY section and sit with you guys. They don't check tickets at PHP.

Alan, I'd like the other ticket if it is still available.

I gotta say, I've played soccer since I was 5 years old and I can't recall seeing anything that funny in all my games over the years. I mean I've seen some weird stuff happen, but a guy walk right into a keepers throw and take it across the face from a good 5 feet away ranks right up there.

BTW all, Curt Johnson can't 100% confirm because he has a meeting Saturday afternoon, but he said he should be able to stop by the game to watch us fans play.

I am working on a bar for Friday night. I'll call a couple today and see what our best options are. I'll keep it very close to the Hampton Inn if at all possible.

Hampton Inn in Frisco? You're absolute best bet is the Irish Rover. Its within walking distance (if you don't mind a little walking). Has a pretty good beer selection and good prices. Its the best you'll find in Frisco. There is also the Pub & Grub which is located in the same general area, more of a "club" than a true bar, but still fun. Other than those choices I would go all the way to Addison for decent bars....nothing in between is any better than the Rover.

Point blank from Caesar is no picnic either. My right wrist will attest to that.

Along these lines, are there any other rules we want to work out before we get there to save time? Things like subs, etc?

Also, I believe this is the bar that the Texagator mentioned: http://www.irishroverpub.com/index.html. Looks good to me, but then it's an Irish pub so that pretty much goes without saying.

No slide tackles and no balls in Stu's face. What's the point in going? ;)

BTW, work sucks and I hate that I am working Saturday. Kick some Dallas bums and I'll see you at the play offs.

Should I be worried at all about that? LMAO

Sorry you won't be making it down Mark. We'll do our best...which for our "coaching staff" probably means keeping me benched til their wingers wear out. :)

It's Irish in name only, but its food is alright.

All over it man. Either there or some Down Under Pub place. I'll post it later after I talk to them and discuss their willingness to cater to 25 drunks.

The Rover is an actual Pub. The only one I'm comfortable with in Frisco, fwiw. Texgator lives in Frisco, so I'd trust his judgment. The Rover is where we went after our co-ed game on Friday (we played on the auxiliary fields at PHP) if that gives you an idea.

Our rec league does unlimited subs, but only on stoppages of play (free kicks, throw-ins, goal kicks, usually not on corner kicks except for an injury).

Let's plan on playing two 45s with the option of a water break at the 22 min mark if the heat is above 90 or so - which it may not be.

    Does that sound okay?
