Questions - 1. Should the FO label tickets in the Cauldron behind Zach Thornton as "Obstructed View"? 2. If Alecko Eskandarian blows both hamstrings simultaneously, but we lose, is the day overall a positive or a negative? 3. Will we ever have a chant for every player? 4. Last minute banner ideas? I might be able to find time to do something simple before Saturday. The former Wizards on Chivas were good servants, so for me they're off limits.
How about a wide load sign to give to Zach when he it at our end? How about spreading out thoughout the section so all of the signing folks who know all the chants are not all clumped into one little area down in the front left? IMO that is why nothing ever catches on and thus the crappy atmosphere. Maybe that is why we have never been in full voice. I know it is easier said than done. Everyone has there own spot and likes to sit there. But how else is the section suppose to get louder when you only have 5 rows of people singing?
I'm only one person but was thinking I'd try to move a little bit more centrally for this game if I can, and getting the drums set up in the right spot will be important. I originally started going down to the front left to get on the same page with Eric's group and the Yardbirds - but they know all the chants. Part of it was that Ben wasn't in the middle last game, and no one was helping Justice. The game that's going to be interesting is June 6 against Columbus when a lot of people are in Chicago for the USMNT game.
People are intelligent, if they give a shit, they will figure it out like I had to when I first started coming to games.
Bingo the bolded part is it. How many folks are there for the party/atmosphere or there to support the team?
We could also yell "beep, beep, beep" when he backs up, kind of like big trucks do.... And if anyone has yellow trash bags the wide load would be easy to make.
Something that was discussed in a meeting Robert and I had tonight. We're going to try and do an organized chant with the Starting XI Girls/rest of the stadium. Basically in the 20th minute and the 65th we're going to yell Kansas City and the Starting XI girls are going to hold up signs that say Wizards. We're going to do this four times in a row each time.
Damn you for stealing my idea. <sigh> I only get one or two ideas a year, and now you've squandered one of them. Anyway, if such a thing is possible in these dark days of want, could someone rep this guy?
Is it bad that I was thinking of holding up something else entirely when Mike typed Starting XI girls?

Little Zachy Pies - edit the little Debbie logo and overlay Virgil/DeeBo from Friday on it. "Beware of Spandex Shrapnel" with a muffin top image stuffed into keeper pants with a Chivas #22 on it. How wide do you want the shorts is pretty darn clever.
Just to let everyone know, FSC will be at the tailgate this Saturday, around 6:15ish. They would like to film the Cauldron doing a couple of chants during the tailgate, to be shown prior to the broadcast Saturday evening. This is something they are doing at each match this season, and this weeks is our turn! So, we need suggestions as to a couple of specific chants we could get rolling loud and strong when the cameraman visits the tailgate. Something identifiable with our group...like "We Are [clap, clap] KC Wiz" or "Ohhhhhhh, KC Wiz" or ???
"Hillcrest Road" would be the best for this in my opinion, it seems like all the other chants we do there's at least one other team in the league sings them.
Absolutely spot on here. It would also help the song catch on to the general population... However, it really should be the speedier, up-tempo rendition with the clapping rather than the slower, first-verse.
So I got a yellow trashbag today from my parents that I'm going to use to make a Wide Load sign for Saturday.
