Catalunha qualify for the finals of the World Cup of Rink Hockey to take place in the summer of 05 in San Jose University campus

They won the World Cup B, thousands of fans waited in Barcelona airport for the arrival of the team, count Catalunha to be one of the favorites along with Portugal, Spain, Italy and Argentina

It will not work with soccer. To be a "Country" one has to have a "National" Championship. So, Barcelona teams could not play in the Spanish Liga.

I hope to see an independent Catalunha and a free and independent País Basco one day, the same for Galiza but thats with them they have to "fight" for their historical rights.

Pais Basco fight for their independence, they talk a different language, different names, teams from pais baco don't allow others players from spain to play in their teams, and in other situations, like At. Bilbau they only accept basque players.

my history on this is poor, so if the basque seem to like to stick with themselves and the catalunhans want to be free what part of spain is keeping it all together and denying there independance.

The way I see it, if San Marino and the Faroe Islands can enter teams, then so should Catalunha and Euskadi. If you really want to be selfish, fight for Catalonian independence so that you'll have one more weaker league than the Superliga. :D

Lleida in the Champions League. Now there's a team Benfica should play. ;)
