So Chris Tyranny is better than the three guys we let go? And for all you Lekic haters, he was number 5 on the team! Put that in your shot glass of Slivovic!

I guess Kuppie was right - Caraglio must have been pretty useless if Ryan Cochrane was better on the Castor Oil index...

Even though I fully recognize that this Index is kind of a joke, I'm going to totally use it to continue pursuing my "AJ Soares is underrated" campaign.

Garbage in, garbage out. Such is the nature of sports stats and why many of us despise them.

The castrol index is significantly affected by minutes played. Guys who don't play many minutes aren't going to have high ratings.

Basically, it makes the assumption that players on the bench are worse than their counterparts on the field. Of course, with Steve Nicol making the roster decisions this past year, we quickly learned that wasn't the case.

If there's anything that should immediately shoot this ranking of players table down, it's the fact that it puts Pat Phelan in the middle, I shudder to think of a Revs team where PP is of that quality.

    Hah. :D

Well, Heaps HAS to be better than Nicol last year simply because I don't think it's humanly possible to be any worse.

If one currently looks at the roster, and compares players who are out to those who have come in, it would certainly appear that his goal would be to find a way.

Well, it's still way too early.

The average MLS team has dropped 5-8 players and added 1-2. If we don't have any international signings by the end of January, I would start to worry.

At least we have coaches. Every addition and expansion in the coaching staff is a step forward. They will probably elevate the current roster and the future.

When the expansion team has more players on their roster than we do, I start to worry.

The number of players on the roster now is insignificant. It's the players we have on opening day that matter.

When does training camp open again?

I disagree. Other teams have been signing players for a couple of weeks now. What have we done? We should be signing players now

Its the trend that bothers me. We see this same pattern EVERY YEAR and you know what... we wont sign anybody important by the time camp opens

Disagree completely. Teams add maybe a couple of players in December, but the majority of internationals and returning USMNT players sign in the 3-4 week period after the draft.

Besides, we just signed two players. We'll learn who the are tomorrow.
