Carson Facility Ready to Be a Major Player

    Three months from now, a muddy field in Carson will become a world-class track stadium that will showcase some of the sport's top athletes.

    Nearby, irrigation pipes are being installed this week to maintain the grass of a soccer field that will be home to Major League Soccer's Galaxy, the MLS All-Star game and concerts. Many of the 27,000 seats and pieces of the canopy roof are in place.

    Seeing the stadium and the roof from the 405 yesterday almost brought tears to my eyes.

    Last picutes had just that one small section of the roof up, is more of it up now?

    from looking at the webcam, there are maybe 5-6 pieces of the roof up now and the roof braces are starting to go up on the other side of the stadium.
    hopefully there will be some new pics soon
