    Hi guys!

Peruzzi of Lazio has been watching tapes of goalkeepers who could replace him next year. Eventhough some really big names were among these candidates (Amelia and Hildebrand, for example), Peruzzi claimed that Carrizo was the most talented player among them (I think there were around 20 tapes). He was really impressed and claimed that he had all qualities to be a world class player!

Do any of you have more information about this, seemingly, amazing goalkeeper?

    Thanks in advance!

he is a very good gk, he is probably one of the best we have, i like andujar more, but just beacuse of his experience. other than that i think that carrizo and andujar are the top argentine league gk.

Juan Pablo Carrizo is only in his second year in the top division, and you never know with young goalkeepers, but he has been excellent this year, and he has all the tools to be a great one.

I'm sure the top European clubs must be aware of him. So, if Lazio wants him, they will have to act soon. As far as I'm concerned, the sooner he leaves River the better. He kept River in the game against Boca, and he is almost singlehandedly keeping them near the top of the standings.

Here is a video of a penalty save by Carrizo. Not the best execution by Saja, but a nice save nonetheless.

Thank you. I actually prefer him over most keepers as he is still young. 23 right?

Yeah he's 23. He's the best keeper in Argentina and has been River's best player this season. And he could possibly be starting keeper for Argentina in Copa America. It'll be either him or Pato.

    Cool :)

Now that we are talking Lazio, what do Argentinians think of Cristian Ledesma? Is he well-known and is he ever discussed when talking about the national team?

Cristian Ledesma is unfortunately usually overlooked in terms of the NT because of the congestion in that position, with players such as Mascherano, Cambiasso, Lucho Gonzales, Gago, etc. but he's generally well liked by the medias here and they rate him pretty highly.

    Carrizo?

If you are thinking about Amadeo, they are not related. Besides, Amadeo is probably way too old to be his dad.
