They've had an openly gay mayor for years now. Anyway, this is their anti-anti-French reaction. It's kinda funny how they were reluctant to endorse the French fry, because it's so fatty.
SD - 2 things: #1 - why did they bring up French fries? even the French said they're a Belgian creation. #2 - what true southerner would care about fat content in food?
Thanks for the link. I lived there for a while after I graduated from UNC. Carrboro is also the former home of Elizabeth Cotton, author of the song Freight Train (which has some Carrboro street references in it) and originator of the "Cotton pickin'" styly of playing the guitar.
