this Times article ripped her prez. aspirations to shreds. The best line has to be:

Gerald Austin, an Ohio-based consultant who worked on her 1992 campaign, called his former boss's latest ambition "an embarrassment."

"This so boggles the mind that one wonders whether we ought to be instituting some mental competency test to people before they announce they're running for president," Mr. Austin said. "People who lose after one term in the U.S. Senate, which is fairly difficult to do, usually don't turn around and run for president."

As an Illinois constituent, I have to tell you

    a) she was the WORST senator we've had in the 25 years I have lived in this state

    b) she may be the DUMBEST senator in the last 25 years from ANY state. I'd vote eagerly for Hilary Clinton before CMB (and given my conservative leanings THAT's saying something). She's the worst sort of demagogue -- a laughable demagogue.

    c) the only useful role should could possible serve is to take away votes from Al Sharpton -- though if it boiled down to a choice between voting for her or voting for Al (Lord help me as I say this!!) I'd vote for Al.

Man, I have already broken out into a cold sweat.

Tell me -- were us Democrats as silly when it came to Gary Bauer's run in 2000?

Gary Bauer at least has some intelligence, showed signs of being an excellent debater and had a very strong organization. Carol Mosely Braun is an utter buffoon. She's unqualified to change bed pans in the local senior citizen complex.

Some people believe this is the whole point of her candidacy, to split the black vote in the primaries and save the party from the embarrassment of Al Sharpton. There have been suggestions that it's her payback to the Clintons for making her ambassador to NZ.

In all honesty, the "new" Al Sharpton comes across as a more credible candidate. I'd also vote for him before Carol Mostly Wrong, AKA Carol Mostly Fraud.

There were many other search results, but that one seems to fit the bill well enough to prove, once again, that the conservatives around here can't make an argument without lying.

Seriously, Cascarino, did it not occur to you that you could do a search in about two minutes?

I think you're just a wee bit hard on him, superdave. Who was it that said "Never blame on malice what you can on stupidity?"

No rational person would vote for Sharpton ahead of Mosley-Braun. You can express contempt for her wihtout sounding ridiculous.
