This year's tournament will feature HK, Hondurus, Sweden, and Norway. Excape, are you going to any of the games? I might be going to the HK - Hondurus game. Happy Year of the Monkey everyone!!
The Carlsberg Cup is an annual tournament held in Hong Kong celebrating the Chinese New Year. The semi-finals will be held on Jan. 22nd, and the final and 3rd place match on Jan. 25th.
Well, this is a weak tournament.... normally, they have at least one or two named players coming. This year, I never heard of anyone playing in it.
Yes, Bora is here!!! This must be his 3rd or 4th tournament. Norway 3-0 Sweden.... and I realized that I heard of one player before the tournament -- Harvard Flo. I knew him because his name is Harvard and he is from the Flo family.
HK League XI 0 - Hondurus 1 Bora sucks. Against a minnow team like HK, Hondurus can't even generate many chances on goal. The second half was dominated by HK.
HUH??? The coach has nothing to do w/ the play on the field. This tourny represents a chance for Bora to take stock of what he has to work w/. You are completely nutz to say Bora Sucks. Bora has guided more teams to success than number of times you can slam a tequilla shot down your fat dome. Bora is a straight genus. The Catrachos won right??? So what is your problem??
Well, Hondurus vs Norway is on telemondo now, didn't know they were going to show this in north america.
I don't think Hong Kong is a very weak side anymore. They've put up enough good displays (even against Real Madrid) to earn themselves respect. Although qualification into big tournaments like the World Cup or the Olympics is still beyond them, they're still capable of pulling off a pretty good upset.
Carlsberg Final Outcome? For those of us who couldn't see the game between Norway and Honduras, how did it come out???
I wish teams like the Socceroos and the All Whites (NZ) could play so it would be 6 teams, 2 groups of 3 and the winner of both groups could play in the final! Both OZ & NZ need games and comps like these would be great!
