Genk don't update their twitter but they do update their website.

He signed today for Genk so he gets his own thread now. Could possibly see him and Lucumi playing together at the same time

He will wear no. 46. Best of luck for him. Since I saw him with Nacional in day 1 I was sure he will succeed, although I thought he'll be in Europe by now.

He is short for a CB especially in Europe

Probably will try to change his position there. It’s why the Venezuelan keeper isn’t in Europe either

After playing 90 in the Super Cup last week, Cuesta also started yesterday's season opener.

Lucumi wasn't even on the bench yesterday, for whatever reason..

Think bigger clubs come sniffing around him this summer. 23 and his ability on the ball is a big desirable these days, could see a club like Brighton or Leeds go for a guy like Cuesta, has a bright future ahead of him.

I'd rather be stay away from the UK. Defending in the Prem is chaos and you see how it broke Davinson's mind. Last year Dias was considered one of the best players in the Prem and best defenders in the world, now I read think pieces on how City needs to upgrade that position... Unless you have the right manager I think it can be brutal.

I'd love to see Cuesta at Atalanta as Cuti Romero's true replacement or anywhere in top Seria A sides...

Think Carlos will solidify as a starter over Davinson over the next little while and hopefully he gets a move to a bigger club soon. Although he's not physically a standout for CB, his ability on the ball and understanding of the game is the type of skillset that the top clubs value. If he develops a bit more you could see big clubs come calling for a guy who could slot into a possession dominant side right away and not miss a beat.

He's already our CB that gives me the most confidence. You pair him with Yerry and I feel very solid... As long as we field a keeper fit enough to be on the pitch...

He was a leader for the Sub 20, now a leader for Genk and soon to matriculate into a leader for the Senior team this cycle I anticipate.

His contract expired this summer wish he had made the jump to Italy or Spain as a free agent. Hope he keeps and seems like a good fight for the starting 11

It’s loyalty to Genk so that they can get a transfer fee for him.

That's nice, hopefully he had a clause put in. He does need to make the jump, he's more than ready for a bigger league and more responsibility.

It's doesn't alarm me, I had tons of ankle injuries during my playing day. Typically I recover within 3 weeks to a month and half at worst.
