I think most of us always supported Colombia because of Angel, Falcao, Yepes.... I know I always have, at least.

I wanted him to be called up too but never for the life of me thought it would happen this soon.
    It is intriguing news!

I would love if he got the chance to play Aldo position with la Selección. I think he doesn't risk the ball as much as Quintero and is faster and defends more. Quintero maybe more creative passer but he needs to learn when it's OK to risk a creative pass and when it's important to slow the match. I think Carbonero has that. I'd love to see him go to Europe maybe a Colombian friendly club like Porto, Monaco or Atlético Madrid might like him who knows. I haven't read anything. Anyone read any rumors?

Carbonero por derecha y Cuadrado por izquierda y puedan cambiar durante el partido. Y James suelto detrás de Falcao y Jackson

In some ways Carbonero is better than Cuadrado. He can shoot the ball on target at a much better rate and seems to come back defensively and stand strong for a guy his size.

But Cuadrado was one of the best players in the whole W.C. tournament let alone Colombia. I don't think he will be benched any time soon, but I do like Carbonero a lot.

    True.

Just makes it even more unlikely after the way Cuadrado played in the Mundial.

Carlos Carbonero would do good at Monaco to replace James.

replace? not even close. Moutinho is still a much more proven player. CC needs to get to Europe first and then let;s see what he's made of. He was VERY fortunate that Diaz insisted on him playing. Most fans were already labeling him a dud. But Diaz really developed his raw potential and made him a pivotal part of the team. He would need to do the same in Europe. I can see him as a good supporting MF in Monaco but no way is he replacing James. Cabegras would have been a great replacement.

It's a matter of replacing a good midfielder for a star that they had; I am not saying that he'll be like James but he's a good enough replacement where he can do the job properly even if not as well as James.

I guess it's a matter of opinion but James is (and has been) a far better MF than CC. Again you said replacement. They need an "A' replacement and not an unproven MF in Europe. I would love to see CC in Europe. What have the offers looked like?

I am still wanting him at Monaco. I feel that because they have a lot of money to spend, he be a good investment. Him and Eder Balanta both are who I want Monaco to pick up.
