Howard tries to dribble the ball away from Van Persie who almost knicks it off of him - the ball goes out for a goalkick.
from Soccernet "Almunia, who hasn't looked the flakiest keeper on the pitch only because of Howard's obvious discomfort, pulls off a wonderful save to deny Richardson's rasping drive. great save."
Face it..Tim Howard is David James. That'll make a very nice career for him. It just won't make him the world beater many have hoped for.
This was a poor pass from wes brown that put howard into trouble. Are the commentators at soccernet watching the same game?
I think the reputation Howard attained late last year and early this year will haunt him for a little while. Everyone will make a huge deal out of every hesitation and/or bobble.
are you kidding me? a tussle between van persie and richardson. there may be a couple of red cards here. edit - they both get a yellow.
two out of five is far more decent than 1 out of 5, but it sucks none of the field players started editops, make that 3 out of 5 ....thanks for the updates....
Howard barking at O'Shea - commentators saying it's the mark of a good time that in the 87th minute the keeper is angry that 'he's actually had to dive and make a save and dirty himself there'.
Am I the only one who thinks that what has happened to Howard is a disgrace? I mean think about it. When he had a true ManU defense in front of him ie Rio he was the best keeper in the league. Then he doesn't and he's bad. Then the DAY that he is taken out to be benched and Carrol is in Heinze and Rio start for Carrol. Now he can only play with poor defending in front of him. Trust me if Howard had the defense Carrol has had he'd be the Timmy that got him transferred to ManU in the first place. Secondly I also think what has happened with Spector is also a disgrace. The guy was the best ManU player on the pitch for the last 3 matches he played and got a MOTM in his last against Everton and he doesn't play hardly at all including not even on the bench for this match? Get him out of ManU.
I believe it is time to break out the Eric Wynalda classic: "Congratualtions, you know nothing about professional soccer."
