He may not play Terry, as if Terry gets a yellow, he's out against Arsenal.
So possibly Luiz in his place, and also Lukaku in the lineup.

    -------------Turnbull---------------
    Ferreira---Luiz---Alex---Bertrand
    ----------------Romeu--------------
    -----McEachran----Malouda------
    Anelka-------Lukaku--------Kalou

Basically the same lineup as against Fulham, with possibly keeping Sturridge fresh for Arsenal?

Is the seven day rule still in effect for banned players?

Or have they changed that too?

I should have included this bit in the AVB quote, but Bosingwa can use this match for his ban and be ready for Arsenal.

Really hope the fellas win this. The lineup possibilities are good enough. Is there ANY television for us to watch via computer? Would like to watch.

I agree. I think that the CC is important to us this year when the PL is going to be very competitive - not saying that we can't win the PL. But getting some silverware early in the season would be a great boost to AVB.

[LINEUP-4-3-3]Kalou, Lukaku, Sturridge, Malouda, Oriol, Meireles, Bertrand, Alex, Luiz, Ivanovic, Cech[/LINEUP-4-3-3]

If AVB does play Terry I wouldnt mind seeing Luiz in the holding midfeild role. I personally think that his future is at that position. This game is going to be a tough one. I hope that we pull it off and stay in this competition since any silverware is good for confindence, even though it is the Carling Cup.

Terry is not with the squad today. Anyone state what he allegedly said to Anton Ferdinand?

I read in the paper that he allegedly called him a "f*****g b***k c**t". If that is true it should be fun when he lines up next to Anton's brother for England !

He probably isn't traveling because he's being rested for the little match we have this weekend in London. As I've said many times, Lampard and Terry are not robots and can't play every single match like they have been used in the past. If we can't beat Everton with our 1A team, then it isn't meant to be. Frankly, I would prefer that most everyone who played in the bloodbath this past weekend sits and get time for the Bertrands and Joshs of the world. If they aren't going to play here, then they aren't going to play at all and might as well loan them out.

By the way, anyone consider that Everton has a tiny squad and Moyes may rest starters as well? He knows they aren't going to win any silver this year and his main goal is the League.

Agreed with the Luiz comment, though I doubt it will happen, but it is a majority opinion that he would do well in that role.
Also Meireles already played with 'pool in the Carling Cup, so he's ineligible.

I don't understand all the calls for Luiz at DM. Luiz is not a DM, as he doesn't have the positional sense to play that position. Normally when he bombs forward there's a DM covering for him. What happens when he bombs forward with both of our fullbacks also going forward, who'll cover for the CB? Not to mention the fact that both JT and Ivan like to get forward themselves. Putting him in DM places even more defensive responsibility on him, because unlike at CB where he has only the goalkeeper behind him, he'll have cover for the back four; hover, hiss main problem, positional discipline and tracking off the ball, will be exposed. He needs to learn how to defend as a CB, which he is by trade.

    EDIT: Terrible grammar.

I'd rather see him at RB than DM tbh.

His range of passing would be wasted on a flank IMO, agree with okocha that he needs to make the CB position his own.

thats a hearty backline, young/inexperienced midfield, and a dynamic attack, excited to see what it does
