I love the matchup. Despite the fact that this is not a Premiership team, they are still capable of beating us. I thought this game would be at the Cottage. This will be the third match for the Whites in the Carling Cup and all of them have been on the raod. The match will take place on Nov 9th or 10th. Let's hope they keep winning.

I'm relieved to see this draw, Fulham got a bit unlucky pulling Brummie this past round so to have an 'easier' opponent will hopefully continue to build confidence down the road.

You are right though tom, they can beat us...look what happened to Villa.

Agree Mike. The draw is favorable to Fulham in the 4th round, but anything can happen. I was happy to see them get a non-Premiership team in the 4th round. While the big clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea may not take this competition seriously, I think this is important for the likes of a team like Fulham. I think the success Bolton hyad last year helped them gain some confidence and they have shown to be quite a good side this season. I am still amazed Fulham beat them 2-0 in August. I hope Fulham can keep advancing. It would be good for the club in many ways.

Hey all... American Mike referred me, as a new-found Fulham fan, to this site and its been fun to read through the posts and get to know more about FFC.

What I'm interested to know (showing my ignorance)... How do they determine home/away slots for these matches? Is that part of the draw process? Or is it predetermined in some way?

I like the match-up... should hopefully be another confidence booster. After withstanding the barrage of shots yesterday, they have to feel good about the win. And Cookie seems to have already admitted that he now has a keeper dilemma...

Welcome aboard! Do you live in the states or in England? I like the matchup too. To answer your question, I think the home/away slots are determined through the draw. I think when the teams are pulled from a hat, the first team pulled out is the home team and the second team is the away team. I am pretty sure that is how it works.
I was quite surprised to see the Cottagers win yesterday. It did not sound too promising on the radio for most of the game. But, it only takes one shot to win and Fulham proved that yestyerday. A win over Forest and Fulham will be in the final 8.

I'm a state-sider... I live in Minnesota. Got an interest in the club after they picked up McBride. I'm really excited as I am going to the Fulham v. Blackburn match in November when I'm over there... I was bugging Mike a few days ago about places to go, the experience, etc. Should be a fantastic time...

I look forward to spending more time on the board and contributing to the conversation!

Are you up in the twin cities? It is nice to have another midwesterner in the mix. I live in Chicago. Lucky you getting to go to a game. In addition, it is a game they should win against Blackburn. I hope you get to see a win. As mentioned before, welcome aboard. It is always good to have more people to chat with about Fulham!

Yes, there will be a radio feed of the game. They usually do not put it up until 1:15 or 1:30 CST. It will definitely be broadcast though. There will also be chatting going on if you want to join in. I am ChicagoTom in the chat room. Here is the chat room:

I'll be listening along to Gentlemen Jim.

Actually its funny to get on the radio broadcast early and hear him complain about the other team and the weather, his seat etc...

If we get through today we're in the final 8 correct?

Grrrr! Our IT Department has firewalled off audio broadcasts. Probably a sound business decision but frustrating nonetheless. I'll have to live with BBC text

Most my friends in the private sector have audio blocked. But the federal government has yet to do that. Interesting cause i'm sure there is some good stuff people could steal from our computers.

oooh, that sucks. We got a new IT who is probably reading this as I write it, but I am guessing my company will be doing something like that soon too. It sucks.

    0-0

Boa Morte is arguing with the ref...forget about him the rest of the match.

when that guy starts going on about referees and complaining his head is completely out of the game and he's garbage

I could not agree more. I wish he would just stay focused and not worry about every call. Hopefully at HT he he can settle down and get his head in the game.

This is what happens when Boa Morte cries. Liverpool 2nd half and the Aston Villa match. Heres what happens when Boa Morte plays Football Newcastle match. When Boa Morte plays Football hes world class when he cries hes not even a ok player. He does the same exact thing as C. Ronaldo and Deco and what Robben did at the Portugal Netherlands match.
