I'm looking forward to seeing the really young lads playing. Wilshire, Merida, Vela, Frimpong.

    Should be fun to watch.

Its always interesting seeing the young guys, i'd go with this lineup:

    --------Fabianski-------
    Hoyte-Toure-Djourou-Gibbs
    Wilshere-Ramsey-Song-Merida
    -----Vela-----Bendtner----

Ramsey, Djourou and Vela need the PT. Unfortunately Toure does as well. Wilshere, Hoyte and Gibbs are pretty much automatic picks as well. The others i'm not sure of. Merida has been a regular on the left. I'm not sure if we should start Bendtner, it might be better to rest him.

I also wonder if Bischoff will see his first team debut, and where.

With suspensions and injuries to our front two I doubt Bendtner will be risked so Jay Simpson might get a start in this one. We may also go with one up. Vela farthest forward and Bischoff just off him.

Wigan are going to be very tough to beat so a 5 man midfield might be the best way to approach this one.

Really looking forward to seeing Gibbs v Valencia. Should be a great test for young Kieran.

Wenger hasn't been shy about overplaying guys this year, so i wouldn't be surprised to see Bendtner again. And it's tough for me to imagine Vela playing as a lone forward.

I wouldnt be surprised either, its not like he sould be tired after 3 games in 10 days at 20yrs of age anyway.

I think Vela would run behind all day with a decent No.10 slipping balls through. He will only need 2 maybe 3 chances to find the net. His running would also open up space for support players to shoot which cant be under estimated.

personally, I cant see Wenger playing Bendtner... maybe we will see Bischoff playing in support of Vela...

Is Coquelin fit? I'd like to see more of him.

I'd also love to see Bischoff get his runout.

I'd imagine we might see Simpson partnered with Vela, if we're worried about saving Bendtner since Ade's still hurt.

I assume Coquelin is fit. He played last week and was subbed off at the 60 minute mark, but i didn't see anything about him being injured. But i'm assuming that Wenger will want a little more experience in central midfield. I think that Randall was out injured last week, so i'm not expecting to see him on Tuesday.

No tears here. Can't say I'm really a fan of Randall, I'd rather see some more of some different players.

I'd go with this lineup, but with Randall instead of Song.

Wigan will probably field their starting XI so we can expect a good game. But I think we'll expose their weak link, Titus Bramble.

    3-0

Edit: Randall is injured(?). I'd go with either Coquelin or Lansbury

Randall is 19 now and hasn't really shown any signs of being a first team regular. I guess he's been doing well in the reserves, but i don't see him making it here.

Do Carling Cup matches count as part of a league ban?

Any chance that the Crozillian makes an appearance?

Put in Coquelin and you've got a midfield with an average age of 17.

Well at least Van Persie burns one of his bans for a game he would never play in.

He was missing due to a hamstring injury last time out against Fulham, dont know if he will be available for midweek.

Its funny how people see different games. Now im not saying you are wrong, far from it but IMO I thought Randall's role in the 6-0 v Sheff was very under-rated.

He tackled like an old fashioned CM, hard and brave. He won most of them, intercepted numerous passes and set about starting our attacks. His passing is very good and im willing to wait a couple of more years into his development before casting him aside.

Some players are a little later coming through than others and he could become a decent squad player given a few loan spells to pick up more experience.

Apart from Coquelin who a lot of people have already mentioned, who are these different players you would like to see?

Whatever some fans might think of the CC, we still have to put out a competitive team against a Premier League side.

Why don't you think Eduardo will play? I thought he was expected back at around this time. Have you heard/ read something? I was hoping that he would make a late substitution appearance.

this was the first time I was impressed with Randall in a while... I thought he looked very good playing behind Ramsey...

he may not make it at Arsenal, but he looks like an EPL player

It was only two weeks ago Wenger said he was 3 weeks away from returning to full training, therefore i can't believe there is any chance of him playing in this one.
