What warrants a yellow and red? And what are the consequences? I've seen people still posting when they have reds, which to me would seem like they were kicked off BS. Mods or administrators, please help.

If you get a red card, you cannot post at all. You can still see their posts that they already posted (if the mods/admins have not deleted the offending posts).

Circumstances for getting a yellow/red card are listed in the Terms of Service.

Yellow are usually given for persistant ingringement - namely Trolling or flaming. A yellow only prevents one from starting threads.

A red is usually given for Spamming, but is also give for continued vulgar and abusive vilations. The post or posts that may be cause for the red could be removed, but all the posts may not be deleted. Thus seeing posts with a red card seeming like they can still post.

When does the BSFA rescind a yellow card?

Come groveling on your blodied hands and knees with an abject letter of apology, prostrate yourself in front of all, and promise to behave yourself in the future.

Or you might try a PM to your friendly forum moderator. :)

Does a BSFA yellow card mean I can not PM my local super friendly mod who has graciously provided me with a yellow card?
