Can hardly remember a win that made me that angry. Ange may have saved his job but his seat should still be pretty toasty.
Kulusevski changed the game, brought directness and energy they couldn't cope with. Happy for Brennan to get a goal, he needed it for the confidence. I feel like most of the Europa games are going to be like this. We won't always get this lucky.
The decision to select Forster for the Europa league squad instead of Spence looks a bit daft after today's match. Too many changes to the starting lineup today. Though to be fair, the first half was pretty similar to the way we've been playing.
I think that's really unfair on Forster. Yesterday, whenever he played it out of the back, chances were created. They were Coventry chances, but still.
Now that the dust has settled a bit... The two goals we scored were just the sort of goals Angeball is supposed to produce. Fullback makes a run into the penalty area and the defense isn't prepared to pick him up. Pressing midfielder wins the ball and gets it right out to a speedy winger. The question is why Spurs didn't begin to play until 80 minutes in. This is a recurring theme no matter which manager and "system." Is it "in our DNA?"
We can score these kinds of goals against weak teams, but better teams can set up to stop Ange-Ball quite easily. We have only beaten one top-10 team since last December.
Here is the full draw: Brentford v Sheffield Wednesday Southampton v Stoke Tottenham v Manchester City AFC Wimbledon/Newcastle v Chelsea Manchester United v Leicester Brighton v Liverpool Preston v Arsenal Aston Villa v Crystal Palace
Just off work. Up a goal and Dragusin sent off. Presumably we'll continue to attack. Sorry I can't see it. COYS!!
You're in the wrong thread mate. I feel responsible. Tactical, Davies went to CB and Udogie came on as LB
The City tie will be played the week of Oct 28 (we play Palace away on the 27th and Villa at home on Nov 3rd).
