Because we can't edit posts and update the original post in the "meeting each other " thread-

    https://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1394323
its time to start again with a dedicated thread
Here is the latest official info for June 18 in Cape Town posted by RidgeB our local organiser, host and coach at the club

"Time to confirm the Cape Town meet.
    Date 18 June afternoon.
Venue : Camps Bay FC - situated between white sandy beaches and Table Mountain.
Club has hot showers , bar and restaurant overlooking the ocean and magnificent sunsets.
Local beers are R10 a bottle.
Theme : We are collecting used boots for the African kids of Imizano Yetho. Many play barefoot or share boots. So bring your old boots along.
We will have a dozen or so kids join us at Camps Bay to "accept" the boots.
    Timetable
All matches of the day will be shown on Big Screen so could get there for the Germany/Serbia match.
Friendly soccer game for Trip Advisor fans and other international supporters Kicks Off at 1500
Depending on numbers the game will either be between say Europe or SA v The Rest or similar. If we get no more than 15 players the opposition will contain some of the Under 15 township kids.
Fantastic township High School Xhosa choir will sing between 1700 and 1730.
The club restaurant does have chips, burgers, fish etc but we want to try to arrange a local Cape Town dish like BABOTIE for about R 40 per head.
If anyone is going on to the England game we can arrange transport ( and also transport from your hotel to Camps Bay earlier ).

    So we need numbers :
    a. who will attend with how many fans
    b. who wants to play in the game - if yes name your best and second best position. X is providing the Ref
    c. who will stay for Babotie
There is a cost for the field etc. of Rand 200 total and we would like a donation toward the choir.
Any comments or ideas please let us know"

X, am all packed and ready to head to CT tomorrow - can't wait!!

Have a brand new pair of boots kindly donated by my friend's son - one kid is gonne be v chuffed! Also bringing some spare tshirts and rain jackets - hopefully they can find a home.

I'll take up the offer of transport from Camps Bay to the stadium if still available - want to be sure get there in reasonable time having read about some of the delays with the crowds, traffic etc.

See you in the Dubliner tmrw night for the start of a memorable trip! :)
