Why are the concrete walls around the field like six feet high? I thought this was suppose to be like a world class facility. When you watch on TV and see the nicer stadiums around the world all you see is fans not six foot high walls. When it comes to soccer in this country we never do anything right.
Eh? What the hell difference does it make? When I go to a game I want to be above the field looking down so I can see all the action. What are you after?
And Danishz, you conveniently ignore the fact that at many of the so-called "better" stadiums in the world you see barbed wire fences, moats, ditches and other barriers. Some world class teams, like Bayern Munich, even play in stadiums where there are running tracks between the pitch and the stands, so the fans are set back an additional 20 yards from the players in addition to the moat/ditch to prevent pitch invasion. I think Victoria Street will stack up pretty well for intimacy. No fences, no moat, no ditches, no running tracks. I can live with the walls.
