The governor of California who tried to pass censorship bills is not winning. Plus he won’t have his middle age looks for long.
Whitmer will forever be haunted by the video of her making fun of Catholics. Not Familiar with Beshear, If Shapiro thinks signing missiles is smart than he won’t last long. Pete is the best candidate but we know what is going against him.
You joke but these guys are already making inroads with gen z.

I'm confident that vance will take the reigns in 2028. At the moment, none of the Marxists scare me or make me worried.

Maybe big Mike?? Would be a race war and Jd would sweep the Midwest alah Trump. Been wondering who vance chooses as his vp?

Pfft. Shapiro, Bashear, Cooper, Mark Kelly, and so on.

Far more on that bench than the current group of GOP figures whose main accomplishment is licking Trump's balls so they don't get blackballed from the cult, I mean party.

Shapiro will never get the nomination. He's also too short to become president.
Cooper has no future in politics.

Vance will carry the rust belt. He's our hillbilly

Vance was less popular than Kamala and even Walz. He's toast in 2028 and probably doesn't make it to the nomination even.

Don Jr will inherit the nomination in 2028 and he will win the electoral college in a landslide, since only white males worth 10 million dollars will be able to vote.

While controversial, the Supreme Court will approve the election rights bill in 2027, since it adheres to strict constitutional originalist principles.

President Vance will have all he needs to continue in power.. if “real” elections are even a thing..

totally unrelated to Trump: The German government has now collapsed.. With Trump removing all sanctions against Russia and cutting aid its safe to assume the place known as Ukraine will cease to exist soon. Im just curious to see if Putin is greedy enough to annex another neighbor.. At this point all allegiances are “assumed” but not guaranteed… hell the entire US intelligence apparatus is about to collapse hard.. sleeper agents are gonna sleepwalk in.. maybe a false flag “terrorist attack” so Trump can play at “strongman” against an Arab state?
Its a world of pure imagination

I haven't thought about him as future potus.

Interesting. Of course I'd vote for him because he isn't a Marxist scumbag.

First, there's nothing bizarre about anything I've said in here. All of the arguments I've made are mainstream, and have been repeated ad nauseam. The inflation/economy discussion has been had about a million times this election cycle on both the left and right by people far more qualified to talk on it than either of us, and I've repeated nothing they haven't already said. That you don’t realize this shows just how disconnected from reality you and most in here are, and why you were surprised by what myself and many others considered a likely result.

As to why I bothered spending as much effort as I did trying to reach folks here? The truth is, I liked it here. I've been here for a while (a lot less than some of you, but still well over a decade), largely grew up here in that time and have (or rather, had) a lot of respect for other users here, some of whom I've interacted with for years. I couldn’t accept that I was THAT far out of line with the consensus of a community I’d largely felt like I was a part of for so long, and I wanted to close that gap. I thought engaging in good faith and really trying to explain the positions that I and the majority of the country hold in good faith might effect that gap closing.

I was wrong, and I was also misguided for even considering that to be viable.

A minority of you (you know who you are, I've spoken privately to a few of you already) are solid people with differing political views from my own but good faith/positive intentions at your core. I'm personally very happy with this election result, but I know it's disconcerting for you. You actually don’t deserve that anguish. I do think these next 4 years will bring a lot of positives that hopefully will ease the fears and negativity you're feeling now, and hopefully it is also some consolation that Trump will be gone for real this time in 2028 and the next election will not have his shadow hanging over it. Things will get better, hang in there.

The rest of you? I gave you far, far too much credit, and I should have offered you the exact same level of respect and consideration you offered to me and anyone like me: absolutely none. You don't deserve any. You are living embodiments of the very thing this country just roundly rejected. Trump is not good, but you and what you represent are worse, and the country made the right choice. The country didn’t choose him – they rejected you. Reasonable actors would look inward and try to discern what it is about themselves and their ideology that created such resounding rejection, but you are not reasonable actors and you will not do this - you will double down. You deserve every negative emotion and negative feeling you have, and I'm glad you have it.

I’ll keep some distance, but not for that reason, given that (a) the “demon” won in a landslide, and you were wrong about absolutely everything, and (b) because I'm fine to be as far away from people like you as possible, and this community mostly belongs to you and said people. You are every trait and action you delusionally tried to project onto me in this prior post. You fancy yourself a morally, intellectually and spiritually superior being, with nothing to back it up but all the bravado and arrogance to come with it. You are the Id of the 2024 Democratic Party and its campaign, and the reason for that landslide.

Again: Trump isn’t good. Most of the critiques of him are valid and if there were viable 3rd or 4th alternatives, he’d lose to them. He got his win because you and the party that embodies you were the only alternative, and as bad as he is, you and what you represent are worse. People don’t like Trump; they just hate you. And they’re right to. You deserve every single L you take, and I hope there are many more to come.

Wild take from someone whose political analysis basically boils down to race/gender and whose expectations were wholly divorced from the actual outcome of this election cycle.

That you spent a career in political science is remarkable. I have no experience in that field and would be vastly more effective than you. You analysis has the depth of a

You and that guy absolutely should get back together, please don't wait - do it now. Neither of you have anything constructive to offer anyone else in the broader discourse, because you represent everything this country is done and over with and working to move away from. You are losers promoting a loser's ideology. You're better off talking to one another and losing together.

I responded directly to @Khan on the point privately. There were no lies, just a misunderstanding, and that's very clear to any neutral observer (of which there are virtually none in here) who read it.

The first post I made in here:

This is an utterly uncontroversial post to any normal, rational actor. All it did was highlight the reality of Kamala as a mediocre candidate and an untalented politician who would struggle to win an election, and outline opinions widely held by a majority of Americans on the topic. And guess what happened?

I was right. She didn’t just lose. She got boat raced. Lost ground in 90% of US counties. Lost the popular vote for the first time for a democrat in 20 years. Closest margins in blue strongholds like NY, NJ, Massachusetts and California for nearly 30 years. Lost hundreds of counties that hadn’t flipped for a Republican in over a generation (and rejected Trump in two prior election cycles).

It was a GENERATIONAL loss. And it was fully deserved. Americans didn’t just reject her, they rejected all she represents, and they rejected the people like you who embody the spirit of that.

You are a delusional bully with low intellect and low character hiding behind a veneer of moral supremacy and a political movement that embodies everything that you are. And that movement lost, so you don’t even have that to stand with anymore. It is nothing, and you are nothing. And I’m glad that has been exposed to the world now. You deserve it.

...so yeah, it's very hard to accept but here we are. Now all we can do is sit back and ride the storm out while these guys attempt to deliver on their yuge promise to make this country great again.

How did West Wing put it? Everyone imagines they'll be a millionaire one day?

Everyone imagines they'll be able to r*** with impunity.

Everyone imagines they'll be able to grift with impunity.

    ...lie...

    ...steal...

    ...have their ego stroked....

    ...adulation of others...

    ...adoration of powerful men...

...have their enemies lick their boots...

    ...and so on.

FTR, I’m a registered Republican. If you were in here for any length of time you would know that.

And really, I was right about everything except how selfish a majority of voters, not citizens, are.

    1. The Snopes thing was written by a college student and has been widely criticized for its naivety.

    2. Most of his comments that I listened to are based on what the orange Hitler-loving felon said, rather than what he has done. Deeds, not words. His deeds have been very racist for many decades.

    3. Regarding what he has said, what do you think he meant by immigrants are "poisoning the blood of our country"? How do you explain it in a way that has nothing to do with racism, based on the context?

I don't know about the Snopes thing, but in the past it's been very credibly referenced so why not now?
The deeds discussed in that video don't fall in line with your assertion though.
