I don't see how he beats Trump, but future President DeSantis will probably happen. DeSantis' Presidency maybe the most inevitable in since that of Andy Jackson after the 1824 election was "stolen". RDS mix of leftist economics & hard-right cultural stands w/ a strongman persona are Jackson-like. A Jackson ->DeSantis comparison would be worth reading. https://t.co/Oza2veHbhM— Kartik Krishnaiyer 🇺🇦🌻⚽️ (@kkfla737) June 20, 2022
Jackson defeated the British in the Battle of New Orleans. Who is DeSantis going to defeat, drag queens?
Is Chris Cilizza still the dumbest, worst political reporter in the world? Yes. The whispers of Hillary Clinton 2024 have started | CNN Politics He went to the Hillary well.
I have a list, and Chris is definitely on there. Can Warner Bros. / Discovery pawn him off to Politico or something?
Is this an accurate characterization of the guy he's referring to? Writing in The Hill newspaper, Democratic pundit Juan Williams makes the case that Clinton should become a major figure on the campaign trail this year. Though based on a quick skim, I don't think JW is calling for HRC to seek the nomination. Which makes Calizza look all the more stupid.
If Biden is a no go, who gets the nomination? Harris? I don't see Harris winning the General election, shit, she probably could not win an open primary.
Things are not looking good, this also affects this November. Joe Biden has a 33% approval rating in the first Times/Siena poll of the cycle, as a majority of Democrats look for other options.@ShaneGoldmacher with the storyhttps://t.co/JumDo5LEEP— Nate Cohn (@Nate_Cohn) July 11, 2022
And I think that is the challenge that Democrats have. While the Republicans have been refreshing their leadership with younger politicians, particularly in the House, the Democrats are still heavily reliant upon Boomers. I'm sure AOC will make a run, but there is no way she could win in a General election. I'm honestly not aware of anyone under 60 that would present a serious challenge to Harris or Biden...
Peter. Gavin. J.B. They are from the white males section of the party. Cory from the POC male category The Governor of Michigan for the female category.
Seems like against all advice, Orange Benito wants to announce his candidature as soon as possible: https://theweek.com/trump-2024/1014924/what-is-trump-planning-for-2024
The best thing for Biden would be if Trump loses the primary, claims fraud and then runs as an independent.
Running as an independent would be a lot of work and Trump just wants to stand in front of a crowd of people and talk.. I really don't see him putting in the effort to run as an independent.
There's a structural problem with the Dems; there's plenty of youth and new ideas at the precinct and local party level, but there's some weird firewall keeping those people and their ideas from working their way up the chain.
I think you mean, he could get others to pay other people to put in the effort. Him paying for that would be too much effort. He does not pay for anything himself.

Me too. Previously, it's been my go-to for news about reality TV and about celebrities with names like Brittany, Savannah, Dakota, and Charmayanne. But it's right up there with Politico for politics!
