Beyond that.....Have some here ever heard of slavery or Jim Crow laws...when black people were routinely being chained?
It's not my fault that you've been at this for so long, that you're so easily manipulated by short clips payed in media and social media posts. I am just not sure if you're fooled by it or you willingly spread them out as propaganda. BTW .. lets play whose quote this is ... - Whom in an actual magazine publication went on record saying admired Hitler because he had the dedication to do something and see it through ? - Whom as recent as this year said that violence against women is wrong ... unless your husband is a fan of Corinthians (football club). Big hint here ...
Too bad Jim Acosta is not on BS. He would have found out the true story. Friday morning, Rep. Tim Burchett of Tennessee was on CNN to stump for Trump, and host Jim Acosta asked about those comments. Burchett was initially dismissive of the comment as anti-war rhetoric. “What he says, ‘nine barrels shooting at her.’ That obviously evokes images of a firing squad,” Acosta repeated. “It evokes images of an execution. Does it not? Why? Why would he say nine barrels? “I don't know why he would say nine—I didn't know there were nine barrels … in a firing squad, quite honestly,” Burchett said. “So I'm a little at a little loss at that,
Snopes has the context of the quote. I don't know how anyone can honestly say what he was talking about, even with context, given his "weave" tangents. I still don't get why he brought up Lynn Cheney other than to insult her. And let's not forget that he found "bone spurs" to prevent himself from being in the situation himself. And he's a war hawk himself - wanting to bomb Mexico
Actually, I know of another way. And I know it will work because it worked in California in the past. You simply get black people to very publicly arm themselves. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mulford_Act
Full video is on YT. I went to check it out as I sometimes do. Using the transcript function it's easy to find where the subject is discussed, but I will save you the trouble ... they got into the topic because Tucker asked a question if it was weird that Dick Cheney's daughter was endorsing and campaigning for Kamala since the Bush and Cheney families not long ago were such a symbol for the Republican party. Of course Bush / Cheney were war hawks and that's something Trump has campaigned on. So it's normal that he was going to call her a war hawk because well ... she is.
Well, that's too bad. I can disagree with someone's position, without being disagreeable to them, provided that they take the same measures. Trollturds don't deserve the same considerations. And I also understand this. But understand that after Harris wins, those people will still be your neighbors, your coworkers, your customers, your fellow Americans, and will still have the right to make the wrong decisions.
Let me tell you the difference, as someone mentioned a few days ago...If Harris wins, those people have nothing to worry about (provided they do not break the law), their life will be just fine. For people like me and a lot of others, is she loses, everything is at stake. It is that simple.
The bolded is/was an incredibly imbecilic take; anyone who's fired both a flintlock musket of late 18th century vintage and a late 20th century M16A2 would not find them to be at all alike. That they've considered bump stock-equipped rifles to be akin to weapons "in common use at the time" suggests that its more likely than not that the 2A would be applied to allow tanks, rocket launchers, and the like.
Well, sure. I'm not arguing that at all. I would just suggest that posters reserve rage for those who have earned it, and not everyone that disagrees with you fits that profile. (Shrugs) Also, I think Harris will win.
From your mouth to Gods ears..... I have disagreed with a few people here and we are get along fine. However my point regarding Maga does stand though and is totally different. This is not 2016, they are supporting a fascist hell bent to end democracy and the rule of law. I have run out of ******** to give to these people. Unredeemable.
Great policy statement!! To recap the Republican closing message: anti-Black racism, Puerto Ricans are garbage, Liz Cheney should be assasinated and, if Trump wins, they will repeal Obamacare, decimate CHIPS Act manufacturing jobs, and put a conspiracy theorist in charge of public health.— Matt McDermott (@mattmfm) November 1, 2024
You read my mind Bro. I kept thinking of James Byrd as well as the black guy arrested a few years ago in the south and forced to walk chained behind a couple of police officers riding on horses.
It's like, someone who doesn't have the judgement to look at Trump and go, well, I don't like this and that about him but I'm still voting for him - I don't want to deal with them. They lack character. If they were sitting out the election because they don't like Harris' policies, that's different, but actively choosing Trump means they lack the moral standing for me to take them seriously in any way. They're not entitled to my attention.
He just repeated the Liz Cheney threat again in Michigan.. he made a concerted effort to ensure she has a rifle this time..
There's a very large and prominent one on what's basically a small billboard in the countryside between Petaluma and Point Reyes, but out there it's more just ranching country with very little resemblance to stereotypical "Marin." Last election it kept getting vandalized or shot at or whatever, and they took it down for a long time but now it's back.
Related to the discussion here, two of the people at The Bulwark discuss their voyage from being ignorant of what the motivations of many Republicans was to their current point of more clarity (I still think they have a way to go). Sarah Longwell talks about how she used to take the religious right's "sincere religious beliefs" objections seriously, now she sees them for what they have always been. One of the points Sarah makes is: "If you remain neutral in this moment, you should not be taken seriously". I do disagree with her in her insisting we should not put the orange Hitler-loving felon in the same category as Mussolini or Hitler because Hitler killed so many people. My objection is that Hitler didn't start off by killing 6 million plus people, he and his Nazis started off by othering gays, Jews, etc. This is exactly what the orange fascist is doing now. Give him the time and the power and I have no doubt the death toll will quickly mount. All you have to do is listen to his rhetoric.
Here in BC (Canada), betting is highly regulated and our provincial government get their own piece of the pie by running their own lottery corporation. Their odds on the US Election are shocking. I'm even thinking of placing a bet. Trump at a 1.68 payout to win Harris at a 2.10 payout to win! She's even at something like 1.40 payout to win the popular vote overall. I might place some money on her.
