I'm cross-posting this from the tweets thread in the other forum: I need someone to explain to me why the orange Hitler-loving felon was even talking about Lynn Cheney in regards to war. She's not running for office. Kamala has never said she'd be Secretary of State, etc. Why was he even talking about her in this context to begin with?
W Bush endorsing Harris would speak volumes. He's the son of a former President and was a significant part of Republican Party. That he's remaining quiet like Romney tells me a lot and i VP is one one thing, but a former pre-Trump Republican President coming out to endorse Harris because of the threat Trump poses would be significant. Maybe it gets people who are hesitant about voting Dem but won't vote GOP. It'd be the ultimate way of saying, "This is unusual territory but for the good of the United States I am voting Harris."
You know who isn't making comments that everyone has to discuss and argue for their inflammatory nature because they act presidential in this mess? Kamala Harris.
Screw him. Why am I supposed to vote based upon what will happen to him? ********ing narcissist, the world doesn't revolve around you.
Two personal stories that make me laugh when the right wing whines about being insulted. 1. During the 2004 election, I marched in my high school's homecoming parade. On the final leg, we walked past a group of Bush supporters holding signs mocking John Kerry. A lot of the sentiment I remember at the time was that of, not cool. And they were to say the least, unashamed. It just told me that these types were assholes. 2. There was a friend of my family's that was to say the least, incredibly right wing. And would make it a point to make something political every chance they could. It got to a point that it was a sticking point between my mother and I, and that I kept a distance from them and their family because I knew I couldn't keep it civil. Especially when this person made some rather offensive comments about a demographic. Especially so when I was dating someone from that demographic that my mother managed to steer the conversation away. Anyway, Trump supporters suck, and they can cry more about it.
I think about this tweet a lot. We think there's a strong correlation between Trump's rise and it occurring to a certain segment of the Boomer generation that they're going to die alone in a nursing home because their kids hate them. -OS https://t.co/nfNbUJW2gu— Lyndon Baines Johnson (@lyndonbajohnson) February 6, 2024
He is a Queens kid, there is a difference. He is from outer boroughs. I am from the Da Bronx and I will say Da Bronx. The thing is among the NY elites, NYC aka Manhattan followed by Brooklyn are were the old money is and they are held in higher esteem them Queens, Bronx and Staten.
Funny thing is there is a Dem in the White House now and likely enough national security questions about him to take Space X and Starlink (like Tik Tok)
Eh, embeds are f’ed up. It was a tweet from a few days ago about Trump talking about a tribunal for Cheney.
Apparently she is responsible for the "sins of her father". Twenty five years ago I worked with a cousin of Liz Cheney. It would be interesting to know what he's feeling now especially given he hated his uncle's - Dick Cheney's - politics.
MAGA supporters are truly garbage. I am not making any excuses or exceptions, you support this felon, you are garbage. Look at this “spectacle “ from last night in Mt Pleasant, PA. MT. PLEASANT, Pa. (KDKA) — Some participants in a Halloween parade outside Pittsburgh are being heavily criticized for their depiction of Vice President Harris in a float. Photos of the float in Wednesday night's parade in Mount Pleasant, in Westmoreland County, show a utility vehicle decorated with American flags and campaign signs for former President Donald Trump and people dressed as United States Secret Service agents with what appears to be a rifle mounted on top and with a person dressed as Harris chained up and walking behind the cart. KDKA-TV later learned it was a fake gun. https://www.cbsnews.com/pittsburgh/news/kamala-harris-chains-pennsylvania-halloween-parade/
Well Philadelphia also had a giant naked Trump statue propped up… so imagining a Trump in a prison suit in place of Kamala is just as likely… supporters from both sides punch low sometimes.. Its when officials or the candidates themselves suggest “firing squads” that they become legitimately disgusting
But the convicted felon who is also a sex offender, uses Hitleresque terms to denigrate opponents and minorities, who attempted to overthrow American democracy, who lies more than there are hours in a day and who promises fascistic retribution against political enemies is good for me and my family!
There are definitely others that were taken out of context. The bloodbath quote was taken out of context. I thought it was pretty obvious the media has done then quite a few times. It's hack political journalism 101.
Nope...there is no both sides here....We need to stop with this ********ing reflexive reaction to both sides everything. Just a a simple reminder, putting a black woman in chains walking behind a white dude is simply unacceptable and beyond the pale.
More to the point.....it is much bigger than I mentioned before vs the Telemundo poll. This is a net +52% swing to Harris for Puerto Rican voters in Florida from a previous October Telemundo poll. The racist comments and Puerto Rican outrage have fundamentally changed the election. It cannot be understated. https://t.co/aBU3cpr76A— Justin Higgins (@Justin_Higgins2) November 1, 2024
Its crazy that we are but a few aways from starting to see the end of 2 things.. either the MAGAts or the US will cease to exist as we know it.. crazy to think about the early days of this mess…we were warned
Well.....Sound like this campaign momentum is going pfffffttttt... Wheels are coming off... Does no one in Michigan wanna go see him on a Friday night? pic.twitter.com/fPTfuMDk0B— umichvoter 🏳️🌈 (@umichvoter) November 1, 2024 FWIW- Tonight’s Trump rally in Warren, MI was held in the exact same location as another Friday evening rally, on September 27. That crowd was probably twice the size of tonight’s - and had much more energy.— Garrett Haake (@GarrettHaake) November 1, 2024
