well for GOP supporters this is “fake news”.. but as for the rest.. https://amp.miamiherald.com/news/state/florida/article294663414.html https://fox59.com/news/indycrime/th...ith-stealing-madison-county-election-ballots/ https://www.latintimes.com/californ...-tenants-ballots-using-them-vote-trump-563709 https://www.nbcnews.com/news/amp/rcna177153
California landlord reportedly fills out four tenant ballots for Trump - source is Reddit. Questionable. https://www.reddit.com/r/BoomersBei...nother_trump_supporter_brags_about_committing Florida mailman - story from Florida TV station. This only mentions one ballot in a bunch of mail that was disposed of by a lazy contractor. https://www.wtsp.com/article/news/r...woods/67-f4d36be2-4299-4c12-bf01-0027e0813c3d Likely fraudulent ballots in Mesa County, Colorado being counted - story from CBS News. A dozen or so ballots appear to have been filled out by the same person (same handwriting) and submitted - three of them passed signature verification and were counted, but the county clerk has identified the voters and let them know they need to "cure" their ballot (i.e. cast a new one since they didn't cast the original one). Mesa County had an election official who was recently sentenced to prison for election fraud in favor of Trump. Ballot story, https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/ne...-county-before-colorado-voters-received-them/ - election official sentenced story, https://www.cbsnews.com/colorado/ne...entenced-colorado-election-interference-case/ Indiana - I found a story on "lawandcrime.com" - not sure how reliable that source is. Apparently this happened a few weeks ago when the ballot machines were being tested and election volunteers were being trained. MAGA guy takes two or three ballots which he was not supposed to take. https://lawandcrime.com/crime/theyr...ction-ballots-charged-with-felony-police-say/ bah! too slow! Consider these additional sources to what @the5timechamp just posted.
To add - 1) I hope that the perpetrators get nailed to the wall. Messing with elections is a serious crime and there should be very little tolerance for jackasses who say "oh, I didn't know it was a crime" or anything like that. 2) With all these reports, the total number of fraudulent or prevented votes is still pretty small. A dozen or so in these four stories, maybe 20 max? If this is one percent of the number of vote interference cases out there, that's like 2000 votes total, spread across a bunch of states. It's not enough to change the results of an election. It's still wrong and I don't mean to dismiss it like it's not important, but as a comparison, Texas removed over one million voters from their rolls over the last three years - OK, half of those were dead people, but they say they removed over 6500 "potential noncitizens" (their words - implying that they are also potential citizens) (source, link to TX government press release) and per the recent "leopards eating faces" story in the tweet thread earlier today, ten valid US citizens have been identified so far as removed from Texas rolls by this process (source, story in Texas Tribune). And that's just one state. Voter suppression by red state governments prevents a lot more votes than all the "voter fraud" that we hear about.
RFK Jr has just said that Trump has offered him control of public heath agencies. https://nitter.poast.org/realRFKJr/status/1851326967762821596#m
Honestly any Trump voter deserves a taste of this reality, but still hope it does not come to pass for all the vulnerable people it will harm.
Not sure of the ballots in Colorado will actually count. Not sure of the process here, but when I worked in WI, we had the local count, packaged them up and sent to the district where they were verified and recounted. And I believe those were then recounted before the official numbers were approved. The mail-in ballots just missed the local count. So it would have been possible to have an initial count, but then set aside those in question and, if deemed appropriate, have them removed. And that is before a recount is requested.
The Trump assignation attempt hurt the Democrats. Since then they've dialed back their rhetoric when voicing concern about a second Trump administration.
Jewish Voters Debate: Trump or Kamala? | SWING STATE DEBATES What I found a bit interesting is that the Pro-Trump panelist were not that strong on their commitment, but the Israel issue makes him support him, the Pro-Trump panelist feel that Trump will be a strong supporter of Israel, but they are well aware that Trump is transactional and could abandon Israel. While the Pro-Harris panelist do support democrats, but the have issues with democrats on how they feel some in the party are not standing strong against against antisemitism (as they understand it). One thing I would have asked after the people said they don't believe in a 2 state solution, is what do they think the solution looks like.
Nice turnout at the Harris rally at the Ellipse. She got the exposure she was looking for! great background, big crowd, good speech.
Former Trump campaign Official and now Project 2025 senior advisor having fun.. Sorry we want MALE only voting. The 19th might have to go. 👨🏼#JohnMcEntee #McEntee2028 pic.twitter.com/OJzXadROgo— Loyals (@AFLoyals) October 28, 2024
My wife says what is it with white women and this nonsense? What deal with the devil did they make? My response: Power is more important than equality.
Isn't that where they always find these people. They find the one black guy hung up on Biden saying you ain't t black if you don't vote for him and other exceptions just to make you see that there are undecided voters.
Well Biden stumbled and mumbled when asked about the “island of garbage” controversy and seemingly called Trump Supporters garbage… so obviously within seconds the MAGAts pounced on it and declared being very offended and tried to tie it to Hillarys “Deplorables” blurt…. Biden of course already tried to “clarify” that he meant that the “only garbage he sees is Trumps supporters demonization of Latinos” Its always comical watching people who have been spending years spitting venom all over the place be utterly in shock and disgusted when someone pokes back….. we will see what kind of legs this has soon enough… Vance is due to appear on Rogan, lets see how insulted he pretends to be
It will have a lot of legs because Republicans are outraged about it. The orange Hitler-loving felon can borrow Hitler's language and phrases to call people "vermin", "enemies of the people", "poison the blood of the country", etc., he can outright lie about immigrants eating pets, etc. and the topics get dropped very quickly when Republicans feign outrage against the Democrats reaction to it. But we all know it doesn't work the other way around. Biden should have stayed in the background, but he didn't and now the focus will be on his comment and not all the vile that comes out of Republican mouths on a daily basis.
They will pounce on it. All of them. And it just feed right into their basic messaging. And the press will go on and on about it. Because all of them will be pouncing on it. Completely fcuked the closing days of this campaign.
We'll see. It was dumb, but there's a likely chance it fizzles, too. Plus, the Puerto Rico thing fired up a group who maybe had some reluctant voters. I'm not sure which group of reluctant MAGA people this one motivates. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think it's a huge deal. They do need to lock Joe in a basement somewhere, though, until next Tuesday. The Harris people have run a seriously great campaign. Him ********ing it up at the end would be so Biden. I do love the idea he's not spouting babble now, according to the MAGA people. Must be the new dementia pills they've got.
It is a huge deal because we could have used one or two more days of the media focusing on the GOP's overt racism, as exemplified in the rally, by the CNN panelist, etc. right as people are going to the polls. Instead, it will all be about a Democrat president insulting those wonderful insightful people in the local diner, just like Hillary (supposedly) did. Yep. And, of course, this will never get brought up. His age was such a big issue, but the moment he dropped out the fact that the orange Hitler-loving felon would be the oldest inaugurated president was suddenly a non-issue. They won't blink an eye at the change from "ignore the doddering old fool who doesn't know what he is saying" to "he knows exactly what he is saying and it is shocking he can be so cruel to us God-loving Christians".
Eh, good luck to him there. For real, though, it was a supremely idiotic foul up from a guy they should've completely put to pasture months ago. I'm just not sure where it moves the needle, at this point. Are there batches of MAGAs who hadn't wanted to vote, but are now? Some independents who decide this is the final straw for them? I think the MSG and Puerto Rico comments have stirred up the right people and already baked in their effects. Still, yes, this was one of the absolute dumbest thing I've seen spewed from a non-Trump figure in quite some time. I'm getting more pissed just sitting here typing about it. ********ing idiot Joe.
It's the opportunity cost for Harris. Any media and voter attention bandwidth this stupidity gets is bandwidth that's not available for her closing message.
Thanks for posting -- but I have decided that at this point in the election, NOTHING I am hearing can be trusted. News stories, polling results, NOTHING. I know who I am voting for. I have no need to watch/read news about the election. I am also resigned to the likelihood it will be the weekend before there is any credible assessments of who actually won. YMMV.
