Trumps habit of acting on the advice of the last person to flatter him…no matter how dumb or dangerous that advice is…is exactly why our geopolitical adversaries want him to win.-
He is the most easily manipulated world leader in history.

Imagine if this Puerto Rico insult ends up being the deciding October surprise. And the surprise is basically an own goal.

Anyways, back to the doom and gloom to temper my expectation.

This is why I said you are stuck on "defunding." All of those are ideas which come from police reform groups, which are primarily on the left. The "defunding" people are far left. Yes, it happened in Minneapolis and that has shown how defunding does not work. But most people/groups who are for police reform are not for "defunding." *

Activist/activism is a strange way to put it, when the majority of climate scientists have agreed on global climate change. The question is how best to mitigate it. But if you believe that there is not a major future risk, despite all the evidence, it puts you closer to the denier camp than the acceptance camp.

No bans? Such as machine guns or rocket launchers...or tanks? Or are you talking about the current status?*

Not unrealistic, unconstitutional. He would have to overturn the 16th Amendment. And I doubt he knows that.

You do realize the housing issue is almost entirely state and local, right? There is not much a President can do. Even Harris' proposal will likely run into problems.

I don't think you know, but was a teacher and the majority of my career was in urban schools which were 95% or more Black. And in that, I worked with a lot of Black men and women. What was very clear early on was that there was that, yes, there was racism. But the female staff and students also received a tremendous amount of sexism on top of the racism. You seem to not understand the sexism aspect that Black females do receive from Black males.

    * - Assuming your position on guns is as it currently stands, you positions put you much closer - and in some areas, on par - to the Democrat position on those issues than to Republican positions.

Archbishop of Puerto Rico has demanded that Trump apologize (personally, not his campaign).

I personally love it, Trumps Narcissism wont allow it.. he doesnt know how to say sorry.. its beneath him…. Now its just a matter of him saying something even more stupid..

I appreciate that you’re putting thought into your posts. You’re not here to troll. However.

You wrote that Trump is moving the GOP to be less pro life.

There were some other things you’ve written, but that’s the one I can’t shake.

You’re voting for the man who says he has the concept of a plan for health care. In 2016 he promised a health care that would be better and cheaper than the ACA.

That’s the guy you’re voting for.

He tried “whataboutism” to defend the reaction to the “bad humor”….

at least the other panelist “get it” but dont fully articulate it…

you can say "it's just a joke, bro, remove your tampon" all you want about one “comedian” speaker..but if you're followed on that very same stage by people who are saying "all Palestinians are trained to kill Americans by the age of 2" and various forms of "we have a problem of too many brown people in this country," said by people who are emphatically NOT F’N JOKING, then it doesn't really sound like a joke anymore, does it?

Say the comedian made the wrong joke in front of the wrong audience and that he failed to “read the room”… but the handouts at the rally suggest he did IMG_7006.jpeg

Washington Post article on this PAC. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/2024/10/25/trump-super-pac-abortion-rbg-pac/

summary: the PAC was formed recently enough that they have not had any public disclosure of who contributed to it. The PAC is spending up to $20 million to boost Trump. The next disclosure date is in December (after the election, obviously). The PAC took RBG's initials - RBG's family does not approve but they can't do anything about it. Thanks go out to Citizens United and the Roberts court for allowing rich people to play like this.

Well well… Great move Orange felon, going after Michelle Obama…..

“Donald Trump said that Michelle Obama had made a “big mistake” by criticizing him, as he responded on Monday for the first time to her recent searing comments about his mental state, the New York Times reports.
Said Trump: “I always tried to be so nice and respectful… She opened up a little bit of a box.”
He added: “She was nasty. That was a big mistake that she made.”

Remember like with every Trump rhetorical scandal, everyone will recoil from it for two days, but within a week he'll double down on it.

My wife lived there her first couple of years in the USA, in the early 90’s. The one time she took my son and I to see her old apartment, the entire neighborhood seemed to be mostly Hispanic. That was easily 15 years ago.

EDIT: Which of course makes sense--my wife was a recent immigrant when she lived there.

One positive I can take from the last couple of days on the event Harris loses is that the country club republicans…who deny publicly(and I’ll be kind in stating that some deny it to themselves) the GoP’s racism and are voting purely for selfish tax reasons…aren’t gonna be able to claim they didn’t know. They know. There is no denying it (not that there ever really was).

So in the event some of them feel guilty or express remorse watching what transpires I get to say…you ********ing knew.

@Athlone to be fair, Jamaica is majority black but I have known Chinese Jamaicans and a Lebanese Bajan and white Kenyan. So there was a possibility you were Jamaican but not a black Jamaican.

I agree with Super Dave that unlike most of the conservatives, you are not doing a drive by or just posting tweets so I congratulate you for that.

Trump put the three judges that over turned Roe on the court so he can try and down play his view of Roe but he actually made it happen.

You seem stuck on defund the police but not on the actual policies. Like you hear tax reform when it will actually be tax cuts but they said the magic words.

I do think you are on the wrong side of history, but I am not gonna waste my energy converting you. Just know, if Harris wins, no section of the public will fear for their lives unjustly while a Trump win assures that.
