I would say leave the troll alone but I found myself answering the siren call of dumb********ery the other night so I can't complain
So I’m a troll because I vote differently? Stay mad voting for someone who nobody wanted in 2020 and was chosen because she checked the boxes of what democrats want POC and a woman and she thought picking a white guy would make white people vote for her lol so ridiculous.
No, you’re a troll because you argue using absurd contradictions - e.g., Dems didn’t want Harris in 2020 and instead went with a white man, but now we’re choosing Harris only because we want a woman POC? And on top of that, Dems who “only wanted a POC woman” are actually excited about her running mate, who is white, and that’s somehow further proof that Dems have an issue with race? This is why people here don’t take you or others like you seriously.
Dems didn’t want her in 2020 she was out before Iowa. This whole voting for Kamala because of democracy and calmness is complete BS. Yall will vote her in and 2 years later complain about how things are just because you have a personal anger towards a Trump. I’m gay I can careless if Trump wins or loses since I win in either way.
No, you don't. In fact, you lose if Trump and Republicans win. Just look at all the anti-gay laws that have been passed in Republican-controlled states. You seem to have a complete ignorance of the history of being gay in this country and the goals of the right-wing when it comes to the LGBT+ community.
LOL, good for you. And I’m pretty sure you’re trying to say you “can’t” care less, because otherwise you’re saying you do care. Which you do since you’re here arguing. So many contradictions….
2020 was a completely different circumstance. Now, anyone that votes for the old man with senility issues is just plain dumb. Any credible Democrat could have run but Kamala had the inside track by being VP already.
I'm in a very red part of FL. Martin Co. We had Trump signs and flags in almost every house in 2020. Now there are about 5 flags for Trump and four signs for Harris. It rocks...
Yes, I agree she had the inside track because she was VP. We also don't know how polling errors will impact republicans or democrats since it was in favor for dems in 2022. Honestly I hope there aren't massive polling errors like we seen in the past, but mostly it impacts Wisconsin + Michigan because pollsters always under poll white non-college educated voters. Also, I think dems had better options than Harris who I would consider voting for like Shapiro or Whitmer along with Kelly as a VP. We will get a clue how motivated voters are once early voting starts in the next few weeks in key swing states.
I was using my iphone and autocorrect sucks, but yes thanks for the clarification . I'm here to just speak my mind and share my POV if people don't like it they don't need to respond
This would have been interesting to see, the lack of a proper “primary” had the nice effect of not having Dems fling crap at each other and providing the GOP with talking points… additionally I love that there was no in-fighting or division once Kamala was chosen (same as when Waltz became VP candidate). I had feared with all the different “levels” of demos that this would create an issue… the laser focus and united vision of the Dems has been specially great to see
Similar to what I see here in a suburb of Denver/Boulder that was fairly conservative (lots of ag) a decade or two ago but leans blue now. Since I started paying attention in the past several days, I’ve seen several Biden/Harris signs pop up, but no signs for trump. Only the two same, tired trump flags that have flown for 4 plus years.
Very fine people I’m terrified. Trump supporters just booted ABC from outside the rally. They are so bonded in thier vitriol and ignorance. pic.twitter.com/Ia0fXj15Ly— CALL TO ACTIVISM (@CalltoActivism) September 19, 2024
It's remarkable the extent to which Longwell and co are actually excited about Kamala, whereas in '20 they were more republicans on loan. You can see the fault lines of a permanent realignment now.
From my side I am happy to engage in good faith with Republicans. I suspect I consume more actual conservative media than 95% of people here. However to me, a good faith engagement with a Trump voter would have to have the following foundation 1. That Trump attempted a coup, for which he was indicted 2. That you support him, despite him convictions for fraud and his company being found guilty of extensive fraud 3. That you support him despite his false attack on legal immigrants at the debate. If the conversation can't be reality based, and includes a disgraceful misogynistic slur on Kamala .... sorry. There are actually citizens out there being upfront about it (see The Bulwark yesterday). These voters mostly do not like Trump, but they simply believe the economy will be better for them and that's all they care about. What I can't be bothered with is the Rich Lowry class of GOP voter who pretends to dislike Trump and can't support Kamala because of 'policies' but actually is a racist.
Have the Teamsters ever released demographic data on their membership? I have a theory and just want to see if I’m white about it.
