An Ohio sheriff posted on Facebook urging people to write down the addresses of people with Harris yard signs.

Can I go into a coma for the next 50 days? Cuz I’m not sure I want to experience this much excitement. Trump’s decompensation is apparently contagious. Let’s say Trump has 33,000,000 out and out fans. That’s just 10% of our population. Now imagine 1% of them believing the election was stolen, and I mean REALLY believe it. And want to take action. That’s over a quarter million domestic terrorists, and a hell of a lot of them will be LEOs.

Do we know if this particular sheriff is in the "constitutional sheriffs" group that believe that sheriffs have the highest authortity in interpret the constitution? Those people are potential menaces.

    PA is looking slightly better...

A new USA Today/Suffolk University poll in Pennsylvania finds Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump among likely voters, 49% to 46%.

It was completed entirely after last week’s debate.
The poll found a wide gender gap that is benefiting the vice president. Harris leads female voters in Pennsylvania 56%-39%, while Trump leads male voters by a slimmer 53%-41%.
Harris edged Trump among Pennsylvania’s independent voters 43%-38%.

Same poll, Harris is ahead in bellwether Northampton and Erie counties.
In Northampton Harris leads 50%-45%. Biden carried Northampton 50%-49% in the 2020. Trump carried Northampton 50%-46% in 2016.
In Northwest Pennsylvania, Harris leads Trump 48%-44% in Erie County, where Biden in 2020 won 50%-49% and Trump in 2016 won 49%-47%.

I called and gave them my address. In Maryland.

I was apparently the 50th out-of-stater to have this idea. The deputy was a little pissed he wasn't able to get his work done.

There is that Midwestern work ethic that you east coasters lack. Every now and then when the win hits just right, the Midwestern sense of over importance hits you just right while you are standing outside.

This poll is confirming there is movement indeed toward Harris

A new Morning Consult poll shows Kamala Harris leading Donald Trump nationally, 51% to 45%.

Key takeaway: “Her 51% of support among likely voters, which is also at a record high, is driven largely by her best figures to date among Democrats, Biden 2020 voters, liberals, women, 18- to 34-year-olds and millennials

The small gap is confirmed by the Monmouth poll as well.... between 5 & 6 points. If it can go to 8, that will make life easier for a lot of down ballots candidates too. The felon seems to have a hard ceiling as well at 46/47%.

A new Monmouth poll finds 49% of registered voters say they will either definitely (39%) or probably (10%) vote for Kamala Harris in November while just 44% will definitely (34%) or probably (10%) support Donald Trump.

About half say they will definitely not vote for Trump (48%), while a smaller number say they definitely will not vote for Harris (42%).

    PS. Now the Economist tracker...

Harris Opens Up Biggest Lead to Date

    September 17, 2024

Kamala Harris has opened up a 5-point lead nationally in The Economist‘s vote tracker.

The low quality political discourse since at least 2016 has fouled many a sarcasm detector.
