Probably the confusing thing is that the Biden v fascist debate thread was in this forum, but this debate was in the other forum

The Polish-American vote, they have only missed 3 times since 1916, or same 3 since 1956.

How could this data possibly have been derived???

I’m especially puzzled by the poor performance of Catholic Al Smith.

Laura Loomer is not just a "right wing agitator", she is a nut job conspiracy theorist who should be institutionalized. Funny enough, MTG and her are engaged in a huge online fight this week since MTG called her out on.....her racism!! MTG calling Loomer racist is the epitome of irony too. This is the state of the Trump campaign and the republican party.

“She was on the plane with him the day of the debate and on the ground with him the morning after. Some Republicans are worried she had something to do with what happened in between,” Semafor reports.
“Laura Loomer, the right-wing agitator known for egging on Donald Trump’s most inflammatory instincts, has been regularly popping up around the former president. After a debate in which Trump shouted about false viral rumors of pet-eating Haitians in an Ohio town, her potential influence is drawing more scrutiny from both parties.”
“One person close to the Trump campaign said they were ‘100%’ concerned about her exacerbating Trump’s weaknesses.”

This is an in-depth article by Greg Sargent, and a pretty chilling one, on what could a second Trump presidency may look like from an authoritarian standpoint. Worth reading.

    Trump’s Slow-Burn Authoritarianism

You’ve read about the scary horrors of a Trump second term. But a legal war of attrition that harasses MAGA’s enemies and transforms government info into propaganda could prove more insidious and harder to mobilize against.

On Inauguration Day we will have 6 living ex-Presidents assuming Harris wins and Carter doesn't die. I think the US has been at this point before but I can't remember when.

Taylor Swift Tells Fans to Vote Again

“A day after endorsing Kamala Harris for president and urging her fans to vote regardless of whom they supported, Taylor Swift reiterated that call in her acceptance speech at the Video Music Awards last night,” the New York Timesreports.

Said Swift: “The fact that this is a fan-voted award and you voted for this, I appreciate it so much. And if you are over 18, please register to vote for something else that’s very important coming up — the 2024 presidential election.”

That's a 8/28-9/5 poll? Debate was 9/10. We won't be seeing good polling affects from the debate until the end of the month.
