I think Republicans like Kemp have been keeping their powder dry for some time, so to speak, so that they can survive for now and position themselves for what’s next. They know Trump is nearly 80. If he loses again, there will a huge power vacuum in the party that people like Kemp will rush to fill. If he wins, well, he’ll be too old to play any future role, so someone else will need to step up. I assume actually prefers the first scenario.

BTW…my new x policy is to mute and block lefty x parody accounts. Far too many try to pass off complete misinformation as “parody”. It’s not helpful.


Edit to say: not necessarily the parody accounts. But accounts like this that share parody either purposely…or mistakenly but then don’t remove the posts when they realize it’s parody.

I guess true freedom of speech means you can have a blue check mark while using someone else's name and no one stops you.
