Eurosport Matchtracker has Cannon in goal over Howard. I know the game hasn't started but they were right about the lineups for the games yesturday.

Did Timmy pick up and injury? Has Cannon been playing that much better in training?

    What's the freakin deal?

This is the line-up on Eurosport:

    Joe Cannon
    Carlos Bocanegra
    Steve Cherundolo
    Gregg Berhalter
    Greg Vanney
    Earnie Stewart
    Chris Armas
    Eddie Lewis
    Chris Klein
    Landon Donovan
    Jovan Kirovski

Where is Beasley? Why Stewart? Im confused.

However, I trust the Bruce...unless we lose.

I think it's wrong. Frankie is supposed to be Captain today, and they don't have him starting.

I really hope Howard would start and play very well. I really want him to go to ManU (and start).

Doesn't Arena like guys that have been playing? Cannon has been sitting on the bench in France, while Howard has been starting and doing well in the MLS, also Howard has a slight lead over Cannon in international experience.

    [Deep sigh]

Just 26 more minutes!! Is anyone else torn between following the game live on matchtracker and seeing the game at 7pm on Gala?

Yes but I want ManU to see that he has the talent to start against quality strikers.

    Yup.

I think I will stick around to see the starting lineup on matchtracker then flee my computer until after the broadcast tonight.

One thing we know with certainty...we will only know the real Arena/U.S. lineup when the game begins.

The L'Equipe sports paper here in France had this lineup too, except it said Hahnemann or Cannon and Kirovski or Twellman. It looks like they just took our New Zealand lineup, added Donovan, and figured that is what we would use, since its what we used in our warm-up match (the paper had it even more wrong with Armas on the right, Klein on the left, etc.).
