My argument is that the English Football Association is bad at gathering support among UEFA members, let alone elsewhere. Certainly... Certainly.
Biggest problem for England bids used to be hooliganism by England fans at major competitions. Convincing UEFA to support your bid when England fans were behaving badly abroad was a hard sell. That problem seems to have disappeared in the last 15 years or so. But during that time period we had the corruption of the '18 and '22 World Cup bids. Also, it's actually tougher for European bids to succeed as there's more competition in UEFA for hosting major tournaments. Look at CONCACAF, for example, where the US hosts (or in '26 is the major host) for every Gold Cup and for the '94 and '26 World Cups. I actually think England would be a perfect fit for a Women's World Cup.
We just had a joint co-host with the 2023 WWC. The men's WC, essentially, has to be a joint co-host due to them having 48 teams now. Is the WWC now more likely to be a duel hosting event from now on?
The infrastructure demands for a WWC are less than a MWC. There may be more joint bids, but there are still a lot of nations who could host on their own if they desired.
More likely? Yeah, would make sense, just because it's more teams; but that doesn't mean it's going to be likely in general. Only one of the 32-team MWCs was ever co-hosted, and FIFA has very specifically passed over any other joint bids since then until they expanded to 48 teams.
Duisburg is out because they can't guarantee that the roof renovation of their stadium is finished by December 2026 as demanded by FIFA.
I was watching a couple of 2010 clips on youtube and it got me to wondering if the vuvuzela might be a knock against South Africa hosting? Will they be required to ban them from stadiums in order to host again?
I thought that the vuvuzelas were charming, at least as a couch potato. The organizers intentionally put pre-recorded vuvuzelas on stadium loudspeakers. I know that some journalists hated them but whatever. It's all about the money.

Not surprised tbh. USA just has so many events being hosted. For me personally I would like to see it in Brazil.
I figured their dods were slim since they're hosting the men's World Cup the year prior. Don't think FIFA would have approved that.

Still dumbfounding that the men's World Cup host(s) get named 6+ years in advance and the women's World Cup host(s) get 3 years notice. The 2034 men's World Cup host has already been named(Saudi Arabia).
To be fair, while FIFA already let this cycle slip a while ago, the next cycle is gonna get that 6+ years advance planning. It's not like they could go back in time at this point to fix this cycle.
